It's a shame these bundle PS deals are never available in the UK. Even the Nintendo deal from last year was available here. Sort it out Sony!

I was excited about that bundle until I saw it's playstation only which is unusual for Humble. I would have bought the second tier at least just to get the XCom expansion cheap, but oh well. It does have a lot of repeat content for me but even so that would have been worthwhile.

Much of that stuff was in a PC bundle earlier this year or late last year.  They have done 3-4 PS Store bundles for each of the past two years.

EDIT: I feel compelled to point out that XCOM2 is on sale on the PSN this week, for $4 more than the top tier bundle price.  Timing!

Playstation Plus: Free Games for September 2017

The UK and European Playstation Plus list is quite different for September:

  • inFamous: Second Son PS4
  • Child of Light PS4
  • Truck Racer PS3
  • Handball 2016 PS3
  • We are Doomed PS Vita (Cross Buy)
  • Hatoful Boyfriend PS Vita (Cross Buy)
  • RIGS PSVR

I'm happy we get Child of Light. I've almost brought that game a bunch of times when it's gone on sale and always convinced myself not too since i was playing something else at the time and would never get around to it.

inFamous: Second Son is the best superhero game that I've ever played specifically in the context of world traversal. Just moving around the world is enjoyable and intuitive, especially the neon power.

It was also fun because I got to pick out all of the Seattle-area easter eggs in the game, though the map is not at all one-to-one (or geographically correct at all, really).

I loved that game, still have my OG Xbox copy, and honestly would have said that it was the best game for traversing the world before I played Second Son. It would have been either that or Ultimate Spider-Man, which is also dope.

The smoke power in Second Son plays a lot like those Spider-Man games would play if they made you swing directly off of a visible building instead of letting you cast web anywhere you want to.

I suppose this goes here.

Want to be the first to experience the pulse pounding power of the new Xbox One X? All you have to do is grab Taco Bell’s new Steak Quesarito $5 Box. It includes a delicious Steak Quesarito, a Doritos Locos Tacos, a Crunchy Taco, and a medium Baja Blast for just $5.

That’s right, there are no boss battles or long lines are needed to unlock this achievement! Just delicious food. There’s a winner for every 10 minutes. So what are you waiting for? Pick up any $5 box and text in the code to see if you’re a winner.

I despise most fast food restaurants and even I am considering getting one five buck box per week until the end of the promotion in the hope of getting my hands on an Xbox One X,

So, um..

Beware looking at this week's Humble Bundle whilst at work, or within eyeshot of normal people.

I nearly got my ass kicked yesterday by my woman when I had the Humble Bundle website on my phone to see what the new bundle was for the week.

"I wonder what... HEY, WHAT THE FUCK~?? THAT SURE IS A LOT OF ECCHI FOR SALE~!"

I feel like tying these to Steam is a huge mistake. Nobody wants their friends to see that they've logged 100 hours on Sakura Car Wash Company to unlock everything.

Your shame is online for all to see.

Gone are the days of having your ecchi delivered to your house discreetly in a brown paper wrapper.

I was that kid that wrote ENJOY YOUR PORNO, PERVERT~! on all of the brown UPS boxes I saw on doorsteps in my neighborhood.

The thing I found weird about the Anime Boobs Bundle is that Bundlestars just did essentially the same bundle right at the start of summer vacation. My first thought seeing it up on Humble was "kids are back in school what's the point of a masturbation themed cartoon bundle now?"

Perhaps cranking one out to cartoons is the thing that can bridge the generation gap.

That aside, the normal humble store's sale has something like TWENTY pages of 80% or more off. They're older or indy games but it goes down to many many pages of 75% from there and so on. Someone suggest some things?

Just looking at the front page Darkest Dungeon, Grim Dawn, The Banner Saga, Starbound, and Shadowrun Returns are all $10 or under and are all really good.

The only thing I have grabbed right now is Grim Dawn at 60% off. It has a second expansion landing pretty soon and that felt like a fair price for a game I have a legit chance of sinking a few hundred hours into.

I don't really know what style you are looking for, but things that I have enjoyed and played myself that on sale at 75%+:

- Rochard is actually a pretty decent physics/puzzle/platformer about a redneck space miner guy with a gravity defying gun. The story is dumb, the game is good.

- Anomaly: Warzone Earth is basically a reverse tower defense game (you run the convoy through the towers). If you enjoy those, it's definitely worth the $1 it currently costs.

- Shadow Warrior at 85% off is absolutely worthwhile if you like old school FPS games. You will carve a lot of shit up with swords. I had a lot of fun with this. The special edition is unfortunately not on sale but all that is adding is basically a couple sword skins, soundtrack, and artbook, so nothing in it is super impressive.

- Shadowrun: Dragonfall is a very very good turn based tactic-RPG that is 80% off. Also has workshop support and there are a couple decent fan made campaigns if you enjoy it and want a little more. The three pack of Returns, Dragonfall and Hong Kong is also 80% off but I haven't played the other two.

- Shadowgate is cool, but I think it's mostly "cool to people that actually remember NES Shadowgate and want to play a much prettier version of it". It's incredibly difficult without a walkthrough. It's not a game for everyone, but it is neat.

- Rogue Legacy is excellent if you enjoy Castlevania style games. This one adds in being able to buy new upgrades between playthroughs and I personally enjoyed it very much.

- Hammerwatch is basically a Gauntlet love letter. It's very good at being just that. I think it could use a little more enemy variety but it's very solid.

- Cook, Serve, Delicious is so much better than it has any right to be. It's basically a timing/reflex game where people order food and you press the corresponding buttons to make their order. I was genuinely surprised how much I enjoyed this one.

- Limbo is a very good puzzle platformer that has been ripped off a ton of times as much for the art style as anything. It's not very long, but it is decent.

- The Fall is an excellent indie mostly-puzzle-exploring sci fi game that got a lot of praise at the time and I quite enjoyed. Also: The Fall Part 2 is due in the next season or so. This would be a really good time to play Part 1 if you have not.

- Stealth Bastard Deluxe is a very good game. A stealth/platformer game that moves at a pretty good clip but has a fair number of tougher rooms too.

- Prison Architect is a very good game in the city building genre of a sort. Very easy to lost a lot of hours on. The art style plays out much better than it looks in screenshots, in my opinion. It actually has a lot of character.

- FTL: Faster Than Light should really be in just about any PC player's catalogue. It's probably the easiest roguelike for, like, normal people to pick up and enjoy, without actually sacrificing the depth that makes roguelikes interesting in the first place.

- Crusader Kings II base game is at 75% off but the base game is like 25% of the content at this point, so I have a hard time screaming that you must own this anymore.

Jesus I play a lot of games.

I really loved Crusader Kings II.

But after about the 6th DLC, I just had to tap out and say fuck it.

Civ 6 sales are *almost* at that magic Under $35 price point that I'll buy, but I'm also on a buying freeze until I figure out what the hell is going on with my Memory.
