DreamBroken
What an event. The first hour was fun with random matches in the different atmosphere while the second hour was another amazing chapter in the Hardy saga. Lashley vs Edwards was good stuff while it lasted and as it continued without ever getting a winner. King Maxel is 1-0! Loved the Rock n Roll Express involvement and especially the Road Warrior Animal cameo. So much going on throughout Apocalypto, awesome chaos. the DCC in and out was hilarious. Great House Hardy celebratory ending as well. Definitely an amazing episode that lived up to the hype. Fantastic end of a great in-ring/Hardy year in TNA. Quick results: *Senor Benjamin's Don't Try this at Home disclaimer. *Opening video showed Broken Matt Hardy sailing in the dilapidated boat, Reby playing piano, Brother Nero designing the yard, Senor Benjamin preparing the battlefield and King Maxel in the ring. *There was a mock news report with a reporter reporting on a volcano at the Hardy Compound. Itchweeed interrupted and scared her off with his weedwhacker. *The Broken Hardys (w/ Senor Benjamin) came to the ring for a promo. Matt talked about the event and Tag Team Apocalypto, saying if they did not win tonight then the Hardy's sacred land of deletion would be destroyed, until they were interrupted by Rockstar Spud. Spud said nobody would be deleted tonight and he was sick of the Hardy family, especially Maxel taking up his TV time. Spud wanted to be Maxel's first opponent so Matt agreed under no DQ rules. *King Maxel (w/ Reby) def. Rockstar Spud (0:21) after Senor Benjamin tasered Spud. After the match, Glenn Gilberti looked through the curtain and said at least it wasn't him this time. *Back to the news report saying Cameron 's roads were closed due to Total Nonstop Deletion. The Helms Dynasty arrived and drove in despite the roads being closed. *The Rock 'n' Roll Express arrived at the Hardy Compound. Matt greeted them at the door and they said they were here to prove they were the greatest tag team. Matt invited them in for green beans. *Sienna came to the ring for a promo and said she was looking for Rosemary but she's not here, apparently banned from the Hardy Compound after attempting to kidnap Maxel, so she declared herself #1 contender and challenged anyone in the world in a contenders match. Vanguard 1 came out but the ref said he couldn't let a drone fight a woman so he ejected Vanguard and Sienna issued another challenge.. *Sienna def. ODB (3:31) with the Silencer after a steel chair shot when the referee was knocked down. With the ref down, Vanguard 1 returned to try and count a pin for ODB but the ref pulled Vanguard out. *Backstage, The Helms Dynasty confronted Broken Matt Hardy. Helms said they wanted this to end in the ring. Matt declared someone will enter the Lake of Reincarnation tonight and it would be the most appauling reincarnation ever seen. *Itchweeed def. Chet Sterling (3:45) with the Pesticide Elbow Drop in a House Hardy Rules match. After the match, Itchweeed took his weedwhacker to Sterling's shirt. *Eddie Edwards(c) vs. Lashley for the TNA Worlds Heavyweight Championship took place until Lashley speared Edwards through the wall, leading them out into the woods. It was announced that Tag Team Apocalypto would begin now with Lashley vs Edwards still ongoing. Apocalypto would end without Lashley vs Edwards seeing a finish. *The Broken Hardys won Tag Team Apocalypto (44:08) last eliminating Decay to retain the TNA Tag Team Championships of the World -Decay eliminated The Bruiserweights -Decay eliminated The Ugly Ducklings -Decay eliminated Showtime -Hardys eliminated Rock n Roll Express when Matt pinned Gibson after the Twist of Fate -Spud & Hornswoggle eliminated the Bravado Brothers after a steel chair shot -Helms Dynasty eliminated Spud after Hornswoggle turned on Spud. -Road Warrior Animal made a cameo. -Decay eliminated the DCC after Storm arrived with an army in DCC masks and Abyss pinned one of the random guys in masks. -Hardys eliminated Helms Dynasty when Matt and the Hurricane knocked Everett & Lee out with shovels. -Hardys eliminated Decay after Nero sent Steve in to the volcano and he was shot out in to the ring where Matt made the pinfall. *The Broken Hardys celebrated their victory while Matt declared the Land of Deletion was almost destroyed but the six members of House Hardy would rebuild it. Reby then corrected him that it was seven members, revealing she is pregnant.
hammerva
I do have to ask what was better. The final 40 minutes of this show or the commercial for V I Poo. "Devil's Donuts"
Thibs
Super entertaining show that obviously should be done no more than once or twice a year. Rock and Roll Express and the Triple H burial were my favorite parts.

caley
Personally, I could do with one of these every 3 months or so. Was wondering early on why they didn't have more fans in the arena, but it turned out there was a reason as they had to have a chaotic evacuation involving them. Enjoyed the random teams showing up. Wish they had got Shannon Moore and Evan Karagias for the 3-count return. Thought Trevor Lee and Andrew Everett looked amazing in the brawl, especially the former's flying knee attack. Ricky Morton was a definite highlight. Only weird thing was DCC showing up without 2 of its main three members, even though Storm looked pretty badass in the get-up tonight.
Jiji
My only complaint is the show didn't end with Ricky Morton in the deletion realm asking to be let down.
SirFozzie
They took a page out of Lucha Underground's playbook being "story with wrestling around it" rather then wrestling with story around it. Not something I would want to see all the time, but fine in short bursts in things like TNA.

J.T.
What a crazy fucking show. It was great! One part pro wrasslin' the other part telenovela! This thing shouldn't happen more than once a year and we're blessed that it was on free television.
JonnyLaw
I was hoping the appalling reincarnation would be Richard Morton of the York Foundation.

RIPPA
I said this last night but never has a good wrestling match been so out of place. I mean Lashley/Edwards was an enjoyable match that NO ONE wanted to see at that moment
Bustronaut
How are they getting away with using all these gimmicks that WWE owns?

Well they never called Helms "Hurricane" nor did they say "3 Count" I don't think Hornswoggle was ever addressed by name (and even if he was - it would be by whatever name he is using on the indies) Disco and Animal were both just sight gags Pretty much anything that would be considered WWE property was never acknowledged directly
Pete
Hornswoggle was wearing his "Swoggle" shirt so that would be the workaround.

hammerva
If they ever decide to do this again which I am not sure it needs to be like a traveling circus kind of thing. I mean one of the things that I enjoyed was seeing the Mid Atlantic guys getting their shine. While it is kind of shitty that John Skylar and Arik Royal was a few second thrashing, at least people got to see more of the Bravado Brothers who really should be used more and more. Imagine an east coast version with CZW and New York indies and a mid west version with IWA Mid South and Freelance wrestling guys The 3 Count stuff was hilarious if you watched old CWF Mid Atlantic because Trevor Lee before he became the caveman that he and his partner (I think Rex Tyler) was a more feminine version of the Backseat Boyz or every other pretty boy indy tag team from 2000-2003. Which was even weirder given that he was under 18 doing it. Hell it wouldn't surprise me if the team was loosely based on 3 Count.. The other funny thing was when Eddie Edwards bumped through that awfully flimsy door it looked like someone was frying a turkey in the background. I mean was the concession stand at the Hardy compound that little fryer in the corner. It does explain why they sell turkey legs at the Impact zone
RIPPA
Well the real reason they did it was because of how dirt cheap it was for them to do from NC so it's doubtful they would do it anywhere else I mean they were even bending over backwards to explain why TNA regulars weren't there. Like Rosemary was "banned from the Hardy compound"

Thibs
Ahh gotcha. The ironic thing is this made Abyss look like more of a monster than anything they've done in 10 years.
hammerva
The other true highlight of the night was the first ever run-in from a boat to stop a pin. Then Everett and Lee trying to beat down the boat I also enjoyed the concept of cross-eyed Robert Gibson shooting fireworks.
