Mulaney's ep was incredible. Everything hit its mark (Bodega Bathroom! Mulaney pledged Kappa Alpha Psi at Howard!) and the one bit you'd expect to die because live TV was a hit just for McKinnon and Bryant ad-libbing an entirely new routine on the fly while DESPERATELY trying not to laugh. A+++++++, would watch again.

Yeah I think he's a big meat boy

Adam Sandler returns to SNL on 5/4. Shawn Mendes is the musical act.

I generally just watch youtube clips. I like what I've seen of Sandler's episode os far. That Farley tribute was amazing and definitely the type of thing to make a person get dusty eyed, especially if they were watching back then.

Alec Baldwin confirmed in an interview he's over playing the President and won't return next season.

The rest of us have been over it since 2016, but sure.

Its been interesting thinking with the emergence of Bill Hader abd Barry doing so well that maybe next season he might comeback to host... then you watch all the press he's been doing and how much he hates doing a live show that the odds of that happening are... slimm

I feel like this isn't the first time I've heard him say this.

He's hosted and done several sketches since he's left, so I don't think it's a problem. He just deals with it and does his job.

I knew he came back for some cameos but forgot he hosted. I'm not the SNL watcher I used to be so I've been going back and rewatching his stuff. When he does a game show host he tends to take it dark and it is always funny. His Vincent Price is amazing, even better than Proops version!

the second What's That Name sketch he did when Mulaney hosted this previous season was probably my favorite sketch of the year.

I watched "What's Wrong With Tanya?" from the Anna Farris episode and woke the baby because I was laughing so hard. I love the Vincent Price holiday specials because his version of Price just wants people to show up and be fucking professional butr the guests he gets guarantee that isn't going to happen

Leslie Jones announced she is not returning to the cast this year.

She's pretty funny, but she would fuck up sketches nearly every episode she was on.

She'll be way better off doing film.

She's apparently going to be hosting a reboot of Supermarket Sweep.

SNL has hired its first East Asian cast member Bowen Yang.

His hiring has been overshadowed by the other new cast member, Shane Gillis.

That's an unfortunate hiring that I'm sure Lorne, Jost, and Che will be reversing sometime soon.

Why attack Chris Gethard of all comedians? He's supposedly a class act and incredibly nice. There wasn't even anything comedic in the podcast clips. It was just two racist guys having a terrible conversation together and making jokes and observations that were tired 20 years ago.

I haven’t watched the clip, but it it possible he doesn’t like Gethard’s brother’s wrestling opinions?

CG's brother here if you didn't know.I am a dork who posed on here. This stuff has been absolutely insufferable.

I actually know Shane GIllis personally. He's based in Philly. I do comedy too and I've been on a few shows with him.  I don't know him too well but he was always fine the few times we crossed paths. I have a lot of friends who despise him and said he has said all sorts of crazy racist stuff at shows and on open mics. I also have a bunch of friends who love him dearly. I just saved my opinion on the guy because it's not like I ever talked with him beyond a few minutes and I never saw him saw anything crazy. I knew he was also banned from a venue here but did not know the story why.

I was shocked when I saw he got on SNL. Whenever I saw him perform, I remember thinking he was fine. Like a "good for Philly comedy" good. He absolutely was not SNL good. That's not an insult. That's the most coveted gig in US comedy. And, also, stand-ups getting on that show are sorta rare since you also have to compete against improv and sketch performers (who are more in line with that show). But it's not like I knew his act so maybe it was really great beyond what I saw. And I thought it was pretty cool that someone I was on a show on at a comic book store a year ago would be on SNL. Good for him for getting it.

And then I figured at some point there would be an uproar because no doubt someone would dig something up he said.

I did not think it would be four hours later. I knew that dude had a podcast with another Philly guy named Matt (who I never met). I never listened to it. But I heard he said something about "c----ks." The were a big uproar about that locally. Then a lot of people I know (but don't know too well) started posting their own experiences and the crazy stuff he has said. One woman I know who is Egyptian said he once on stage called her a sandn----r. A gay comic I know went on Twitter and reported all the stuff he said at a show they were at together. There were all sorts of other horror stories. But, mostly, Philly comedy supported Shane by a big split. A lot was out of loyalty to a friend but even more was because of how much a lot of comics hate "cancel culture" and etc.

And then a little after that my friggin' last name got tossed into this whole fucking ordeal. One of the entertainment publications posted about what he said about my brother on the podcast. I had zero idea about this episode. My brother never met this guy before, either. I listened to it and was beyond furious. On top of calling my brother a f----t, they also said he made up/exaggerated his suicide attempt for the benefit of his HBO show.

My brother's really serious issue with his mental health is the worst stuff to ever happen to me and my family. The suicide attempt my brother brings up (via an intentional car accident) is really fresh in my mind since I went to go pick my brother up from the accident scene and knew there was something else going on. And there were all sorts of other awful things my brother and my family endured he kept out of the show.

If someone doesn't like his show or that style of confessional comedy -- that's fine and fair. But my brother's show has helped a lot of people. People have gotten help for their issues because of his show. But what those assholes said wasn't anything more than two wannabe shock jocks on a podcast trying to take down someone with more success than them who they also found vulnerable. Just the ultimate case of bullying.

It really fucking sucks. This guy isn't that funny to start with and is just an absolute turd of a human being.

His apology was completely bullshit. Saying you’re sorry to anyone who was “actually offended” is a pretty obvious sign that you don’t think you did anything wrong and most people don’t either.
