Pete
Amused at the media line that Trump's performance got "mixed reviews." I assume the mix was between "bad" and "I'm swearing off SNL forever."
Victator
I want to say I now respect Trump more than Lorne Michaels. But Michaels helped make the food repair sketch with John Candy, so I can't stay mad at him.
ChrisM
Larry David saved the Trump episode from being a total loss.
PetrolCB
Larry David is going to save a lot of these Malk-grade episodes until Sanders is out of the spotlight.

ChesterCopperpot
Gosling killed it on Saturday night - the Close Encounters skit where everyone was trying not to laugh was the best
TimWresPowr
That was the best skit on this show in YEARS. They even had a good bit with Gosling & Moynahan on the news. It seems the best stuff anymore is when the cast cracks each other up.
MonteCarl
Honestly, the UFO sketch wasn't that great as written. The concept was decent, but overall kind of fell flat. However, Kate McKinnon's performance and the cast breaking put it over the top. And I thought Gosling was very wooden and looked extremely nervous throughout the first half of the show (check out the difference between his and Mike Myers's body language in the monologue) , but finally loosened up a bit by the time he did the bit on Weekend Update. And his Scarecrow in The Wiz was pretty great.
The Z
Ok, why were they really booing Bruce Springsteen off the stage? I googled that question and all I could find were people saying they didn't boo, they loudly yelled "BRUUUUCE", which I'm still not sure was a joke or a serious answer. I'm definitely not an expert on Springsteen, though. I was also wondering, why the guy from the Sopranos was on stage with Springsteen and I had to google that as well. J.H.
No they were yelling "BRUUUUUUUUCE!", a common cheer for Springsteen James
The Z
No they were yelling "BRUUUUUUUUCE!", a common cheer for Springsteen James Crazy. So this probably started even long before the "boo-urns" episode of the Simpsons.

The Nature Boy
Hell, it was probably sketch of the decade. Adam Driver did a great job making Kylo Ren hilarious.
Reed
Yeah, I think I might have to give David as Sanders the slight edge over Fey as Palin in the "political impersonation of the decade" scales. Fey is utterly amazing, but most of the time she's literally just repeating the stuff Palin actually says. There's not that much space for parody. David is great and they have to work at it a bit. See: Bern Your Enthusiasm.

Someone pointed out that Ren as Matt the Radar Technician is basically Napoleon Dynamite and I can't get it out of my head now.

Reed
But I do still prefer David as Sanders. Probably because I imagine Bernie's everyday life and political career isn't that much different from an average episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm. JimBob Skeeter
We just discovered the Ariana Grande "Tidal" skit last Friday, and watched if four times this past weekend. She does have an amazing voice. They have been hitting on all cylinders lately it seems.
Raziel
The only problem with the Tidal skit is they ran it almost verbatim a couple years ago when Bruno Mars was on.
jaedmc
If you liked the Tidal skit, I'd suggest checking out her bit on Jimmy Fallon on Youtube. I think it's more fun because she's singing shit like Wheels on The Bus as Aguilera
