J.T.
Conor comes to the ring to a Biggie track and Diaz comes out to Tupac. Wow.
Setsuna
McGregor looks like he's made all of the right adjustments in the stand up game. This isn't looking good for Diaz. I think Diaz got pretty shook up by that first big shot - interested to see what he does from here.
piranesi
So they're both going to be passed out by the end of the 3rd right?
J.T.
Conor had a solid game plan and executed to near perfection, but shit just got real.. No battle strategy survives contact with the enemy.

J.T.
Diaz is channeling Chang Sung Jung. He is in zombie mode and gives zero fucks.. This shit is bananas! What a great fight!
piranesi
so they'll both have reverted to liquid state and been absorbed by the earth by the end of the 4th right?
J.T.
From the looks of the first two rounds I wasn't sure if this was going four, but here we are. That uppercut that just landed on McGregor was telling. Diaz's plan seems to be to weather the storm and do his damage after Conor gasses. I personally would try not to eat elbows to the head like that. Both of Nate's eyes are swollen. Conor needs to just keep striking and he will win this. JustJay
Who would have thought this going 5 rounds. No matter who you had winning, no one thought it going this long. Crazy!
J.T.
Crowd is booing. I respect the gameplan even though I don't admire the tactics. Conor is too spent to engage so he needs to just keep striking and moving and get some active rest.
Setsuna
And he knows he's probably up on the scorecards and the less he engages, the fewer opportunities Nate has to counter. Damnit - finally the takedown with 10 second left. Great fight -lived up to the hype.
piranesi
Now is the time for a Brock Lesnar run in.
J.T.
Diaz scores a late takedown and there's the bell. I have the fight 48-47 for McGregor. Dana is probably already clearing the schedule for the rubber match.
Setsuna
Same here. re : rubber match - Does Dana choose McGregor fights though? Ediy : Well there ya go. At 155.
J.T.
Conor should call for the rubber match to be at 155. If I were him, I'd end the experiment of fighting @ 170.
Kevin Wilson
I had it 48-47 McGregor also, people on Twitter acting like it was a controversy but I don't think it was. I wouldn't have been up in arms if Diaz won either, but that was the result I was expecting. Hell of a fight though.

DreamBroken
Incredible fight. Crazy back and forth with Conor early then Diaz coming back strong in the third. Amazing stuff.

J.T.
Jesus Christ. Rumble has five career KOs in under 15 to 20 seconds. He must rub that Amazonian tree frog poison on his gloves before his fights. That uppercut is instant paralysis.
Jiji
5 minutes ago, Elsalvajeloco said: These dudes deserve all the millions. Seriously. That was one of the more dramatic fights I've seen. Up there with Rua/Henderson in terms of momentum shifts and craziness. Both of these guys should receive enough money from this fight that they, their children, their grandchildren and their great grandchildren never need to work a day in their lives. A third fight at 155 would be immense and the easiest thing to build based on the greatness of this fight. Fuck the pre-fight nonsense. The bell-to-bell (horn-to-horn?) action is worth all of the fight game moneys.
Charlie M.
That was great stuff. I was so nervous watching the fight and I didn't even care who won. I can't imagine what a diehard Diaz or McGregor fan was going through trying to deal with the swings in emotion. I'm not sure if I do the trilogy right away if I'm UFC. The rubber match can be done whenever. Even if both guys lose a bunch of fights in a row, everyone will still want to see the rubber match. McGregor needs to defend his damn title. Jiji
GSP? I'd rather Conor never fight at this weight again and I hope his request, more like demand, for the third fight at 155 is the first step to him getting the fuck out of 170. But it the temptation to cash in on those two fighting would be mighty strong. Would assuredly blow away the PPV buys and income records.
Jrag
Amazing card all around. Conor looked like he was done at the end of the third. Incredible bounce back in the 4th. That Cerrone Mortal Kombat combo was legit.
