Go2Sleep Posted August 18, 2016 Share Posted August 18, 2016 Lesnar/Orton seems like the safe choice as a main event, but if they have a clean finish planned for Seth/Finn, that should definitely go on last. Give the next gen guys the spotlight, and regardless of what this board thinks of them as wrestlers, those two are very likely to produce a solid WWE-style epic that gets a strong crowd reaction. I'm a little worried about Brock and Randy. If both guys give their best, it'll be a hell of a match, but I think we all know that's a crap shoot. Particularly with Brock, who's been really mailing it in this year to the point the current WWE champion explicitly called him lazy on a WWE-sanctioned interview. US CHAMPIONSHIP - Reigns vs. Rusev should be the real main event but they aren't cause POLITICAL HIT! WAKE UP, SHEEPLE! Reigns via DQ due to Lana shoe. The Big Dog doesn't need the US Title. STYLES vs. CENA - AJ over Big Match John clean. Cena goes back to traveling America and feeding people grits. WORLD TITLE - Ambrose retains over Ziggler. Posted August 19, 2016 Share Posted August 19, 2016 Jericho and Balor talked about the original SummerSlam plans on Jericho's podcast today and it was going to be Jericho vs Balor but Vince decided at the last minute to "shake things up" on the first post-draft RAW and have Balor go over Roman. They didn't even tell Finn he was going to be facing Roman until AFTER the Fatal 4 Way Matches on that show. I'm thinking that Sami was supposed to face Rusev at SummerSlam. Balor moved into the spot against Rollins. Jericho got moved into a tag team with Owens. Reigns shifted into a feud with Rusev. Sami's left with nothing to do.
