Shawn411 Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 I like fs1 shows like this. You notice how the top young prospects have had main events like Cody. Now Yair has a chance to show the world he can be the next big thing.
Elsalvajeloco Posted August 1, 2016 Author Posted August 1, 2016 He is also in there with someone who can have fun and exciting fights. Caceres is also still only 28 so it's not a win wouldn't possibly help him out either.
Shawn411 Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Hopefully he has a quick turnaround and be on the Mexico show as the co headliner.
Elsalvajeloco Posted August 2, 2016 Author Posted August 2, 2016 Anik and Stann will be calling this show.
Jiji Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 Good to see the people in Salt Lake came out nice and early with what sounds like a good crowd for the early prelims. Ledet has some great hands and zero defence. Fan friendly fighter for sure and this has been a hot opening round. I'm hoping Kawajiri can pull out a win but Cub is a pretty big challenge for him.
Elsalvajeloco Posted August 6, 2016 Author Posted August 6, 2016 I like how Alan Belcher's camp is teaching fighters how to emulate the Diaz brothers. Also, not blocking punches.
Jiji Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 Kawajiri/Swanson is a fantastic fight. Both guys shone. I think Cub's athleticism won it though. 2
Elsalvajeloco Posted August 7, 2016 Author Posted August 7, 2016 Swanson did a great job of drawing him into a wild brawl.
Elsalvajeloco Posted August 7, 2016 Author Posted August 7, 2016 I want Teruto Ishihara in the UFC forever. 2

Elsalvajeloco Posted August 7, 2016 Author Posted August 7, 2016 Teymur knocked Novelli down, landed like a 6 punch combo when he got back up, and then just demolished him.
Jiji Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 That finishing flurry was remarkable. Love that he challenged Sage. Never going to happen because that fight would be incredibly one sided.

supremebve Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Jon Anik calling Dan Mirgliatta "The Big Tan" is the best piece of commentary in UFC history. 1
Elsalvajeloco Posted August 7, 2016 Author Posted August 7, 2016 I'm surprised that Steele tried to wrestle down McGee at the end. It was clear that he wasn't going to get Court down. He could have just kept away from the clinch and rushed McGee.
Elsalvajeloco Posted August 7, 2016 Author Posted August 7, 2016 Camozzi got absolutely handled on the ground.
Elsalvajeloco Posted August 7, 2016 Author Posted August 7, 2016 Stylistically, I dunno about Bermudez taking on Frankie Edgar. Edgar just seems like a bad matchup in that Bermudez isn't just going to be hitting takedown after takedown.
