NOTE FROM RIPPA - We finally have a movie where Televiper was the high vote the first version but not this one.

This one came out of the gate fast but ran right off of the rails in the third act.  Lena Olin being awesome and hot will make you forgive a lot.

Okay - now we are at the same number of films from the original list. So one could now say you can really start to see the movers and the shakers... or something.

Or what fell off the face of the earth.

Who knows - just we are at #275

NOTE FROM RIPPA - Y'all suck... except my bestie CSC

Kyle and DFA are correct. They were the other two votes so they are off the list.

I was wrong about you CSC. HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME??? I TRUSTED YOU???

I....I...don't know how this happened.

This was the catalyst for me doing a ballot revision...and then I forgot it?

I'm an idiot.

I can't believe I didn't vote for a movie I'm actually in (as an extra). Oh well... it's a decent movie but not the greatest shakes or anything.

283) ALIEN3

1992 - 133 Points - 3 Votes (Highest Vote: #26 KJC McMahon)

STARRING:  Sigourney Weaver, Charles S. Dutton, Charles Dance

Placement On Original List: N/A

I probably didn't vote for this.  It is, by far, my least favourite of the franchise (Not counting AVP).  I didn't enjoy the final stretch whatsoever because I found it was just confusing as one never really knows how close or not close the alien is to its prey.  I didn't find it tense, I found it exasperating, sorta like in Paranormal Activity 2 when the guy is attacked by the ghost/demon in the basement and the POV shot is just lots of shaking and pieces of things: it's not intense if you literally can't tell what's happening.

279) CRIMSON TIDE

1995 - 135 Points - 4 Votes (Highest Vote: #41 Rippa)

DIRECTOR: Tony Scott

STARRING:  Gene Hackman, Denzel Washington, Matt Craven

Placement On Original List: #209 (3 Votes)

NOTE FROM RIPPA - JT was the high vote last time (#31). He didn't vote for it this time. *Sigh*

This REALLY upset my Grandpa back when he saw it when it came out.  For years, my Dad thought it was because it was because the black guy is right and the white guy is wrong (You know how grandparents are), but actually we found out years later it was because my grandpa was frustrated that the young guy was shown to be almost always right while the older guy was almost always wrong.  All I really remember about the film, myself, is there was a lot of cussin' in the film as I saw it in theaters with my friend and afterwards we referred to it as Fuckin' Crimson Fuckin Tide...fuck.

276) HAPPY TOGETHER

1997 - 136 Points - 3 Votes (Highest Vote: #37 Yo-Yo Roomie)

DIRECTOR: Kar Wai Wong

STARRING: Leslie Cheung, Tony Leung Chiu Wai, Chen Chang

Placement On Original List: N/A

I really love WKW but this isn't, for me, superior WKW.  Some of the shots are amazing, and the stuff with Ushuaia is amazing, and I love the cover of 'Happy Together' that is used (It's on my iPod!), but a lot of this is just watching a couple bicker endlessly and that gets tiresome no matter how pretty it looks.

275) BILL & TED'S BOGUS JOURNEY

1991 - 136 Points - 3 Votes (Highest Vote: #14 Newb82)

DIRECTOR: Peter Hewitt

STARRING: Keanu Reeves, Alex Winter, William Sadler

Placement On Original List: #175 (7 Votes)

IMDB

ROTTEN TOMATOES (57%)

I  REALLY wished I'd rewatched this before voting but I just kept forgetting.  I hold it in high esteem but couldn't place it too highly because I couldn't remember anything save for playing Battleship against Death.

273) CENTER STAGE (THE ACTRESS)

1992 - 137 Points - 2 Votes (Highest Vote: #24 Execproducer)

I'm frankly amazed this made the cut. Who's my partner in good taste?

Moi.

Regarding Paris is Burning, I watched as many documentaries as I could from this decade with any rep. I basically like a documentary that teaches me something and Paris is Burning was about a sub-culture I would have otherwise had no clue about whatsoever. I found it intensely interesting.

Okay, I will have to take another look at my new ballot because I am sure i voted for LS2B. How did I fail so completely?

I don't even know what you could have voted for at this point.

I must've just thrown darts at something or voted in my sleep.

JT's my boy so that is why I can mock him.

His exact quote " I had my 1990's Top 100 list for upload to my iMDB profile sitting on my computer here at work."

So that might explain some of the mystery.

Of course - it also explains why IMDB ratings are so shitty too.
