NBC apparently moved them to that date from the originally scheduled one a couple weeks earlier. They're going to get slaughtered, and they can't even run an afternoon show to try to pick up on a Premier League lead-in - there aren't any EPL games that weekend. There also aren't any NHL games on NBC that day, so good job, good effort with giving them ANY lead-in at all.

Speaking of WSOF, they announced PPV plans for 2015 and will implement a revenue sharing plan on 50% of the revenues from those PPVs.

Oh, and DC's brawl punishment was a 9K fine and 10 hours of community service.

MMAjunkie says "lifetime ban" in the headline but the article says "indefinite suspension."  It does not say, "he was handed a lifetime ban, but the commission ruled an indefinite suspension pending an appeal by Wanderlei Silva."

Poor reporting IMHO.  Get your facts straight.

Was Silva actually banned or is it indefinite suspension because...those are not the same thing...

An indefinite suspension seems to imply they could come back and decide to lift it at some point.

Indefinite but the commissioners pretty much clarify it as banned for life (obviously pending the appeal from Goodman). They were using Tyson's suspension (and 10% purse fine) for the ear biting as the precedent.

So it is not an actual lifetime ban since Tyson was allowed to box again in Nevada.

To be fair VileOne, from watching the hearing, it didn't sound like a suspension that they were just doing because he didn't show up (or call in on the phone). In addition, everyone else is using the term "lifetime ban" (https://twitter.com/search?q=lifetime%20ban&src=typd). It's just not people looking for page hits.

The NSAC (or NAC now) basically treat fighters who bring revenue to Nevada like the local cops treat Martin Sheen's character in Badlands after they've arrested him. All they need to do is ask fighters if they want a Coke and it would be the exact same thing. So much gladhanding and amusement because someone popular is in their presence.

A lifetime ban?  After giving Chael two years for using everything under the sun?  Jesus.

Chael didn't run away from a test though.

Overeem ran from a test...and the NSAC basically fellated him.

He took the test though.

Also Epwar, two wrongs don't make a right.  Because someone else did something idiotic does not excuse what Silva has done here.

Well, in the case of the Brock fight, he stalled giving a sample for nearly a month after running...and still got to fight!
