Counterpoint:  The "new" NSAC may be "new boss, same as the old boss." You think Zuffa would take a chance and announce Vitor as the replacement without it getting rubber stamped? Belfort may have been the backup plan all along since they had trouble with Wanderlei refusing to sign a bout agreement.

With that being said....

NAC exec. director Bob Bennett says Wand could still apply to fight on the card if he wanted to. Might have a tough time getting licensed...

If Vitor doesn't licensed on 6/17, it's because he is shooting a needle in his ballsack at the commission meeting in front of everyone.

Per Ariel, Cormier seriously injured his knee 10 days before UFC 173 and may need surgery

Bigfoot wants to come back and fight Barnett. He may need another surgery on his pituitary gland.

Dominick Cruz has resumed sparring and may return in 2-4 months.

Vitor could sprout tentacles and a third eye and he'd still get a pass at this point. I for one look forward to seeing Chael get the beating of his life.

Also, Dana confirmed that Wandy is "done" in the UFC. Stories aplenty headed to mmajunkie.com.

If you haven't heard, Dana confirmed at UFN 41 scrum that Chael vs Vitor is set for 185, not 205.

Like most TUF coach grudge matches, Chael vs. Wanderlei will happen a couple of years after the season has ended.

They just announced on the Pre show for tonights Fight Night that UFC is going to Foxwoods Resort Center in Ledyard, Connecticut on September 5.

This is significant as it is the same day as Bellator's season 11 premiere.  Not only that, but it is in the same state.  So much for Dana's "I don't even consider them competition" statements.

Not only that it's in the same state, it's 10 miles from where the Bellator venue is.  I don't think they can make a case for them just happening to schedule an event on the same date for the same generel area, it's the only other indian reservation in Connecticut.  That has to suck for MMA fans in CT, they only get a few events a year as it is, now they have to choose one venue over the other.

Maybe this is just me but my MMA enthusiasm is at an all time low. I went from watching and following pretty hardcore to barely watching and loosely following. I think many things have contributed to this. Bad decisions, hugely disappointing fights, cards and fights constantly changing, over saturation, lack of stars. Really I could go on.

So who's to blame? I love Dana White but he's the head here. You can't really blame him for some of the things I listed. What's the fix?
