KrisZ
NOTICIAS In something of a surprise although if you have been following the situation on Facebook it might not be as much but Flamita who had been working in AAA as Octagon Jr. for the past few months announced on Facebook yesterday that he was leaving the gimmick as well as AAA all together and would become Flamita again on the independent scene. Flamita never changed his Facebook name to Octagon Jr. like other guys that AAA have repackaged over the years so that was always a weird deal for me but he fully admitted that the Octagon confrontation from a few weeks ago made his final decision for him. Flamita said that he fully respects Octagon but he did not like how the situation went down at the CaraLucha restaurant where Octagon ripped his mask off and he said that Octagon should've kept all his issues with AAA. Flamita went on to say that he wanted to build his own name and legacy not being seen as riding someone else's. Flamita said that he loved the opportunity he had with AAA and thanked them for wanting to get behind him as he had no bad blood with them. This has been building the past couple of weeks and Flamita has met with them so this was no surprise like some of the other recent departures. Flamita's future right now is up in the air but he posted a picture of himself holding the Open the Brave Gate Title saying he wants to go back "home" so Dragon Gate is definitely an option. CaraLucha will definitely use him and will probably work their next show on 5/21 and DTU is another natural place for him to go since he got his big break there. He already has bookings this weekend on some indie shows so he will have no problem finding work. Other places are merely guesses at this point but the world is definitely his oyster right now. Octagon of course is pumping his chest about this and went on Twitter to do his victory lap saying that he was glad that Flamita decided to be a man and do his own thing. Hijo del Fantasma tweeted out yesterday that he was having some undisclosed surgery yesterday to repair some issues he has been having that has kept him out of the ring. Ultimo Dragon announced yesterday that the annual Dragon Mania show will take place at Arena Mexico on 5/28 with a main event of El Caristico/Octagon/Ultimo Dragon vs. Fuerza Guerrera/Tiger Ali/Ultimo Guerrero. Jun Akiyama is also prominently featured on the poster. This is the Dia de los Ninos weekend of shows and there are more lucha shows held during this time period of the year than just about any other time.
