Death From Above 3,745 Posted April 12, 2016 Man, if Stamkos doesn't come back it means your four options for one of the east final spots are a Stamkos-less Tampa, Detroit, Florida, or a Halak-less Islanders (good luck with that). That's as close to a bye in a conference final as is realistically feasible. The other half of the east bracket is going to be so damn fun though.
Oyaji 7,438 Posted April 12, 2016 Holy shit, I was looking for Justin Bourne's blog to see how he was picking the playoff winners and just found out he was hired as an assistant coach for the Marlies. That's really neat! But I'll miss reading his thoughts on hockey.
Hoffman 268 Posted April 13, 2016 If the Blues actually make it past the first round, I'll consider their season a complete success.
Charlie M. 1,849 Posted April 14, 2016 This Tampa vs Detroit game has been fun!
Oyaji 7,438 Posted April 14, 2016 Nice attempted charge by Zetterberg at the end of the game. He went out of his way to jump up and hit Callahan in the head.
The Man Known as Dan 3,393 Posted April 14, 2016 I can't fucking wait to hear the "Elliot proved he's not a good enough goalie in the playoffs!" talk after this series when the Blues manage about 18 shots per game this series.
RIPPA 29,440 Posted April 14, 2016 As soon as Henry took the stick to the eye and immediately gave up a goal I knew it was time to go to bed I was right
Dewar 2,104 Posted April 14, 2016 Elliot stole that game for St. Louis last night. If their gameplan is that Chicago will get 30+ shots and score zero goals every game, they are fucked.
odessasteps 11,210 Posted April 14, 2016 Rangers recall G Magnus hellberg after lundqvist injury as precaution.
Death From Above 3,745 Posted April 14, 2016 Really hope Lundqvist is okay.
RIPPA 29,440 Posted April 14, 2016 I never expected the Rangers to beat the Pens so it's not the most distressing news in the short term. Obviously a major eye injury would be an issue long term but the team believes it isn't serious The wacky layout of the series also helps as the next game isn't till Saturday and then there is two days off after that game too. So ideally he only misses one game max
Josh Mann 2,065 Posted April 15, 2016 Tavares was all man and a yard wide. Tip your hat, get em tomorrow.
Charlie M. 1,849 Posted April 15, 2016 Kings/Sharks is going to be a hell of a series. I'm already all in on these playoffs.
WholeFnMachine 230 Posted April 15, 2016 Really great gutsy, resilient win by the Isles last night, Tavares was full on & went HAM. I just hope the goal tending holds up and they can shore up their D.

I may be wrong but I think the NBA has them as well as I can remember Knicks playoff games a few years back on MSG. Think the local broadcasts are only for the opening rounds. sabremike 2,236 Posted April 16, 2016 Really want the Isles to pull this off because I'll be at game 3 and want an insane atmosphere. If they are up 2-0 going for the kill the place will be batshit crazy on Sunday. Also have my friend's ticket to game 4 in Philly. Would've went to game 3 but have to work the next morning and it takes about 5 hours to get from Philly back to Brewster. Really wish I could've been at game 3 because that will likely go down as the most memorable and emotional moment of this round. I am not a betting man but if I was I'd bet anything on the Flyers winning that game.

NBA does it when they shaft some series to NBA TV. I don't mind it EXCEPT when you flip from one game to another and it's jarring to go from more neutral announcers to Pang. Oyaji 7,438 Posted April 16, 2016 Tank legend. Err, not so fast. I knew when Pang said it's close that it was going back on the Blues. Hopefully Tank scores again.
Oyaji 7,438 Posted April 16, 2016 Wow, that's all sorts of greasy. The goal is called off due to St. Louis being offside by a blonde woman's pubic hair and then a jam goal after a broken stick slash call on Tank. Fuuuuuu.
sabremike 2,236 Posted April 16, 2016 If the Blues lose this game eldaniel has my permission to break anything and anyone within 500 yards of him. Just... ugh.
