*Jeff Hardy def. Eric Young in a steel cage match with the Swanton Bomb off the top of the cage through a table

*Jeremy Borash hosted an in-ring interview segment called The Final Word with Drew Galloway & Matt Hardy w/ Tyrus & Reby ahead of their title match main event. Matt calls Drew a thief that stole his title. Drew says he's the best in the world and will retain his title. Tyrus brings up that he won the Bound for Gold match at BFG so he has a title shot that he can cash in whenever he wants.

*Lashley def. The Pope D'Angelo Dinero in a street fight that began with Lashley attacking Pope during his entrance.

*Ethan Carter III cut a promo challenging Mike Bennett.

*Gregory Shane Helms & Trevor Lee promo calling out Eddie Edwards with an offer to form a tag team if he joins their movement. Edwards declined, saying he can succeed on his own. Beer Money interrupted followed by Decay starting a pull-apart brawl.

*Jade def. Gail Kim & Madison Rayne in a triple threat match to become the new TNA Knockouts Champion, pinning Gail after interference from Maria.

*Drew Galloway def. Matt Hardy to retain the TNA Worlds Heavyweight Championship

TNA Impact Wrestling - Airing April 12, 2016 from Orlando, FL

*Show begins with an in-ring promo involving Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy. Matt wants Jeff to stop using the Hardy name, calling him an embarassment. Matt challenges Jeff to a match for the rights to the Hardy name.

*Beer Money def. Decay, The BroMans, and Bram & Eric Young to retain the tag team titles in a 4 way match.

*Maria calls out new knockouts champion Jade and wants her to give her the title since Maria gave her the shot but Jade refuses. The rest of the knockouts end up coming out until Billy Corgan arrives to break it up. Corgan announces there will be a match to determine who will be the leader of the knockouts division and then announces Jade will defend her title against Madison Rayne tonight.

*DJ Z def. Trevor Lee in a non title match. After the match, Lee attacks DJ Z until Eddie Edwards makes the save.

*Mike Bennett def. Ethan Carter III via DQ when EC3 attacked Bennett with a steel chair

*Al Snow came out for a promo, apologizing for a backstage segment last week where he broke Grado's arm and kicked Mahabali Shera in the balls. Shera comes out and threatens Snow but he apologizes then sneak attacks him. Snow talks further about not respecting the young talent.

*Jade def. Madison Rayne to retain the knockouts title

*Matt Hardy & Tyrus def. Jeff Hardy & Drew Galloway when Matt pinned Jeff after hitting him with a hammer. After the match, Lashley came out and hit Galloway with two spears.

Per Meltzer (who clearly was not of fan of the tapings) in that Sky/Bell match - Bell lost when Earl Henner kissed her.

So they are going down the "match for the rights of a name" twice in over a year and again trying to push Al Snow as the grizzled bitter veteran twice in over a year.  

 

I haven't seen the next week spoilers but I can already imagine

That's just a standard Hebner/Knockouts house show spot.  Since they don't do house shows nobody attends anymore, it's been bumped up to the B-show nobody watches.

 

TNA has felt like warmed up leftovers for so long.  It's not completely awful but it just feels like a whole bunch of been there, done that already.  Making Galloway champ was a good move, not necessarily the way they did it but it should've been like a new beginning but they've just followed it up with literally the same old shit.  Lagana's a bigger hack than Russo.  If they won't give me the book then bring back Russo.  At least he'll put some shit on poles, bro.

Jeff Hardy basically no selling a piledriver on 5 chairs was hilarious. The finish to that cage match looked nice though. Also nice to see Jade win the knockouts title. Too bad the only person she has left to feud with is Gail Kim and Rebel.

The camera work during the EC3/Bennett backstage brawl was god awful. Worse than Kevin Dunn at Mania. Speaking of backstage, Billy corgan's cue card reading during the Al Snow segment. Just awful.

Matt Hardy is bad as a top heel. His first couple weeks weren't that bad but it's just draining. Especially when he brings his Authority lite group out. Poor spud

Yeah that chairs piledriver spot was oddly done considering it was blown off so quick. Enjoyed the EC3/Bennett stuff continuing their feud nicely. I've liked Big Money Matt thus far, nice decisive victory for Drew in the main event.

With more time, Gail/Jade/Madison could have been really good. As it is, it just felt rushed and disjointed. Either way, very cool to see Jade with the title. I'd like to see her have a eventual program with Rosemary.

Gail was injured in the match, wasn't she? The match was quickly finished because of that.

Solid feud progression on tonights show and build for next week. Loving the world title scene with Drew, the Hardys as recent challengers, Tyrus teasing his shot and Lashley building up his feud with Drew. Digging the EC3/Bennett feud as well.

It does not. It was a solid black, fitted hat that just said Beer Money on the front.

I haven't watched TNA for a while but saw that POP had a few episodes on demand. Why does Tyrus wear headphones all the time? Al Snow's deal sucked and I don't want to see him on tv. I got a kick out of Maria's scthick though and legit laughed a few times, especially when she claimed to listen to the Smashing Pumpkins everyday.

Other than that, same old same old. Guys who should have good matches (and do elsewhere) sinking to the TNA level. Terrible announcing. Spots of the Jade/Madison match were good but overall it was sloppy.
