Those pictures really show how much better the older belts are compared to the current ones, especially the WWE and Tag Team belts. I think the European belt looks better than the US title and they really should have had Cesaro change them when he won the US belt.

These photos intrigue me...mainly because they're wearing some belts that technically never/don't exist (no WWE version of classic tag belts, Winged Eagle with WW logo plate, WWE European Championship, etc) so I'm wondering if these were specially made belts or photoshops.

Haha.  Really.  The classic bets look so much better.....especially the tag belts.  And Regal did hold that belt.

I would consider Regal to be Mr. European Championship. Either him, or D'lo.  It does my heart good to see guys like Barrett and Cesaro holding it, even if just for a photoshoot.

Is this from the "Style Battle"?  Cause I don't see any polo shirts anywhere.  No style at all, Evolve.

Idea for TV show: we've all seen those shows where an expert in his or her field enters into a failing business/troubled domestic situation and revamps, re-energises and generally embiggens the spirits of those involved (think Kitchen Nightmares or Tabitha's Salon thingy). Well, why not have a show like that for indie wrestling? You take someone with success in the industry and send them off to struggling indies to try to turn things around. They can sit down with the promoter and talk business, when to book name talent, attracting a fanbase etc, and then talk to the workers about how and when it is appropriate to shake someone's hand, why going to a show promoted by someone else makes you a mark, and so on. The first show is a two parter in which our expert visits TNA, also the last shows filmed after he ends up like the nanny who tried to tame Eric Cartman.

I like the idea, but unfortunately I bet the only way a network would do it was if the guy was fuckin Hogan.

Actually, that might be entertaining in the opposite way...

It was called Hulk Hogan's Micro Championship Wrestling.  "No more sevens, brother."

TNA would kill for some "sevens" these days.  Hell, they weren't exactly getting that kind of house back then either.

While on a promotional tour of India promoting the "WWE 2K14" video game, Ryback was quoted by the Times of India that WWE told him not to start a family if he wants to be a top star.Ryback quote: "The WWE told me if I wanted to be the best, the best bet was to stay single and not start a family. I'm a loner and that is what I've given up to be what I am. I've had girlfriends, but at this point, I have to do what I need to do."

I applaud WWE's efforts to stop Ryback from reproducing.

Are there enough indy feds that are struggling-by-indy-standards to even make a single season of that?  The whole point of those restaurant/hotel/whatever shows is that they are incredibly competitive industries.  You pretty much corner a market when you open an indy fed, though.

There are sooooooooo many awful awful awful indy promotions out there - mostly non-legitimate - that you could do the show forever.  I have yet to find an area not over exposed to shitty indy wrestling.  For every solid legitimate promotion, there are ten clowns running shows so they can play wrestler.

My take away from that article is "HEY! AJ's carrying a belt that isn't bigger than her entire body!"

Someone needs to find a picture of Nagashima with the GAEA AAAW belt.  That thing looked like a military backpack on her.

I wish I could find a pic of Little Frankie (RIP) with the AJW midget belt.  The thing was literally the size of his entire torso.  You'd think a title belt for little people would be... well, little, but no.  It was enormous.

I found video of Nagashima defending Toyota with the belt.  God, Nagashima is tiny... and that belt was HUGE.

I've noticed they stopped blurring DVD's some time back.  Not sure when but I know the last few I watched streaming on Netflix weren't blurred.

I really hope they stop all the blurring and censoring WWF mentions.  I'm not usually one of those "THE PURITY OF THE SPORT IS BEING COMPROMISED!!!" guys but that shit is just annoying.  When they changed Edge's yearbook to say "most likely to win the WWE championship" I about lost my mind.

Obviously, not a booker, but I can't believe nobody pitched Steve Austin for that show. He's got the mainstream appeal, he's funny and you'd get moments like this...

except replace the chick with some sleazy, sweaty fuck of a promoter.

Everybody wins.

Did anyone catch Foley on Adam Carolla's podcast this week?

Seems Foley is back to being creepy with women again. He was at the show with a pornstar that goes by Siri (Big boobed chick). He said, just like he did with Christie Canyon he wrote her a note and told her how much of a fan he was.... LIKE HE DID BEFORE!

So is Foley a creep or what? He seems to find women to praise and latch onto.

I don't mean to be a dick but what exactly is the point of that Culture Crossfire site?  Reading about what someone says in a shoot interview is a piss-poor substitute for actually watching the interview.

Dudes at WrestlingClassics love that kinda shit.
