Cliff Hanger
I've been meaning to read "Hit and Run" for 15 years. Should see how much used copies go for since it's never gotten a Kindle or audio release. I Want My MTV is pretty fantastic. Superman vs Hollywood was fun but not essential. J.T.
I will bring the horror movie reads since Curt already mentioned the best one aka Danse Macabre by Stephen King: 1. The Slasher Movie Book 2. Horror After 9/11: World Fear, Cinema of Terror 3. Horror Noire: Blacks in American Horror 4. Men, Women, and Chainsaws: Gender in the Modern Horror Film. Nearly anything by Joe Bob Briggs is worth checking out.
sydneybrown
Fiasco: A History of Hollywood's Iconic Flops is a pretty great read. That's a good read. And it doesn't just go over the obvious picks. The Cotton Club, for example. IMO, it is questionable whether stuff like Cleopatra and Waterworld really belongs in these type of books since pretty much everyone acknowledges now that they made money in the long run. And a fair amount too. It just took a white. I think Parish admitted that though, didn't he? I think in the cases of those two they were both such disasters behind the scenes and the budgets skyrocketed to then uncharted territory as a result, that they almost have to be included.
