Tim Hedrick, longtime chief meteorologist of CBS affiliate WKRC in Cincinnati, OH passed away this morning, after battling a lengthy illness. He was surrounded by family and friends at the time of his passing.

If you know anyone in the Cincy area, chances are they'd seen at least one of his broadcasts over the years. He was what you'd want in a weatherman, in that he was cheerful and informative, and that his forecasts were rather accurate the majority of the time.

Australian TV producer Reg Grundy passed away this weekend at 92.

Prolific producer responsible for such Aussie soaps as "Neighbours" and "Prisoner: Cell Block H".  He also produced the U.S. game shows "Sale of the Century" (based on an Aussie show) and "Scrabble", and imported numerous U.S. and UK games to Australia, including "Match Game" (known in Australia as "Blankety Blanks"), "Family Feud" and "Wheel of Fortune".

Grundy was infamous in the 1970s for the way he "imported" his game shows to Australia. He would fly to New York or Los Angeles and book a hotel room for a week. He'd spent most of his visit watching U.S. game shows and other series, writing down every facet of these shows (even the most minute such as, say, the color of the carpeting or the type of microphone the host used). He'd then fly back to Australia with his notes, then create Aussie versions that essentially copy-catted their U.S. equivalents. And due to then-loopholes in international copyright law, he could make these copycat shows without getting permission from the original creators.

Veteran character actor William Schallert has passed at the age of 93. He appeared in tons of roles, including the father of the late Patty Duke on the Patty Duke show, but possibly his best known role was as Nils Barris, the asshole space station administrator on the classic Star Trek episode, "The Trouble With Tribbles". He was also the president of SAG for a spell.

Madeleine Lebeau, the last surviving cast member of Casablanca, has died at the age of 92. (She actually passed away on May 1 but word is just getting out now)

Apparently she had a fall in which she broke her thigh bone and that lead to her passing

Burt Kwouk, who played Cato in the Pink Panther movies, has passed at the age of 85.

He probably sucker punched Peter Sellers as soon as he went into the light.  RIP.

Beth Howland, Vera from the television show, Alice, passed away on December 31, 2015 after a long battle with lung cancer, but it was her request that her death not be announced until well after her memorial service and funeral so that her family could mourn her in private.

I saw a clickbait article about celebrities you didn't know had died, with a big picture of Levar Burton on it. But he's fine and it was just clickbaiters being shit at internetting.
