WRESTLER OF THE DAY (Series 2) - WILLIAM/STEVEN REGAL

RIPPA

Regal is a Top Fiver for me. It is one of the few sure things in my life.

I can never ever hate WCW because it brought Regal into my life and really my whole concept of how I viewed wrestling and what I enjoyed out of it was forever changed.

This. Regal is easily my all-time favorite wrestler. I didn't even really watch WCW as a child, usually only when the WWF syndicated show was on commercial, or if there wasn't anything else on. The first time I ever saw him wrestle was in person at Fall Brawl 1993, and I was instantly hooked. Everything about him is just the epitome of what a professional wrestling should be.

The largest complaint I'll ever have as a wrestling fan is that he never got to become a world champion before he retires.

Oh come on now. Not a SINGLE Regal/Finlay match in this entire thread. Shame on all of us.

This one has the best reactions from Dusty almost ever, and also drunk Brain clowning him. And noses getting broken.

And you should have pretty much all seen this at least

And I've never even seen this one

EDIT: After watching that, I could strangle that entire crowd. They give you this and you give them THAT?! Hope every one of them is punished by watching Lashley MMA matches in Hell.

Walking A Golden Mile is quite hard to find these days, saw it in a charity shop for a couple of quid but passed on it last year and have been kicking myself since.

Bill Regal is the quintessential TV champion for me, much like how Nigel McGuiness became the quintessential Pure champion in ROH - they made the title their own and no one could match them after.

When it comes to British wrestlers, Davey Boy Smith is the name on every casual fans tongue but I pray that one day it will be Regal
