MNM was fucking awesome. Morrison's simply a tag team specialist. MNM and Miz/Morrison both had too high a volume of good matches for that to be a fluke.

None of those matches were great, imo. Some were good. Others were just solid. Even the dude who wrote paragraphs about how good Morrison was pretty much says "Well, his offense was wacky, he wasn't a good talker, but his moves were pretty and he was kind of cool. So I guess I just like him.". It's not exactly a ringing endorsement.

Which I'd be fine with, but I just think he has too high a volume of good singles matches for him to be written off as "just that"

I think Morrison is one of those guys who you can pick out weaknesses or stuff he does that annoys you and thats all well and good, but really good matches are really good matches, and he had a lot of them in his career, and generally always pulled out something really good when given a big opportunity.

Please point to me which matches on that list were just "good" and which were just "solid", because there aren't many on that list I wouldn't buy as being one of the 10 best main show matches of the year if they had gone down in 2015.

What's wrong with being decent?

I would fucking kill to be decent at anything?

I just think it's underplaying a guy who was pretty kickass for a pretty decent stretch of time when the E was kinda directionless. I think Morrison's ECW and Smackdown runs had a lot of really cool stuff, back in the day and age when those were significantly better shows then Raw, and Morrison was a rather large part of that.

Morrison reminds me of a more well rounded Jeff Hardy around the same time. There was shit you can pinpoint about Jeff that wasn't great, but overall he was really getting the crowd behind him, and he was having matches people really liked. I think some times you just have to look at some of the minor things and let them pass for the big picture.

From what I've seen Morrison has had some pretty good Lucha Underground matches

I think the main thing his time in LU showed is that much like I thought with the E, he's significantly better portraying a heel then he is a face. He can play a face to a good degree, but when he can use his flashy stuff as a means to be arrogant it works much better.

Has Lesnar had a noticeable positive impact on buy rates, ratings, or ticket sales? Or has the novelty run its course?

He popped one buy rate in three years.

In the era of the WWE Network, buy rates mean less than nothing.

Mundo's best matches were when he was playing heel and working with somebody better than him. The All Night Long match was so much fun and way better than I was expecting but a lot of it was clearly planned out. Great spotfest that made all of the big spots matter with good build up. The Ultima Lucha match with Alberto was probably even better than that and he was great bouncing around for a fired up Alberto.

I thought the cage match with Cuerno was a huge letdown. Again, he was playing face, so it's not all that surprising in hindsight but it was just a bunch of nonsensical stuff tossed out there without a coherent string to tie anything together.

He's got lots of tools but I'd never expect him to lead a match which is funny because he's always at his best as a heel. Maybe that's why the blow-off matches where the face gets a lot of offense in and he's selling his ass off are generally his best matches.

Who would have thunk that The Miz would actually be the TE guy who has gone the furthest? Put everything aside for a minute-- this is a regular guy who stumbled onto MTV (Real World even before TE) and, yada yada yada, main evented a Wrestlemania with John Cena and The Rock for the WWE title. Puck or Coral or the guy who hit the girl in public can't say that.

If WWE is planning on putting that guy from TE in the Rumble to take a shoot beating they should be advised that there is a lawsuit that should probably make them reconsider. Just saying the optics on that might not look good to a jury.

That'd be extremely hard to prove unless they literally beat the guy down. A few potatoes could be waved away as part of the job.

Not that I'm advocating it. I really hope they don't even waste a spot on that guy.

If he did go in the Royal Rumble he would definitely get the Daniel Puder treatment where he was fed to Eddie Gurrero, Chris Benoit, and Bob Holly and just got beat up for about 5 or 6 minutes.  Seem to remember his chest just getting killed in the match
