stro
It's more people convincing themselves that NXT is independently run. Like it is an actual indie, where the talent working for NXT isn't REALLY working for WWE.
Zheroen
Strawman. People may look at NXT and wish that the WWE was *booked* in the same fashion, but I've yet to read (on this board, anyway*) any posts indicating that they believe the company itself is some autonomous unit free from the WWE machine proper. *does not apply to the wilds of Reddit
jojomellon
I still remember the origins of Krone Metzler. He posted like a 2 week old story on here about Randy Orton being injured(surprise surprise) and when he was politely informed that it was old news, the poor kid flipped. Meanwhile Kent Jones was just a bizarre hillbilly mark/troll. I remember his youtube videos devolved into his being naked and watching out for his mom coming home. supremebve
I know I was at least lurking back then, how the hell did I miss that? That shit is pure 24K gold. He took Meltzer's name and then didn't know how to pronounce it...bwahahahahaha
The Nature Boy
I'm surprised that some indy hasn't had an anti-message board/Reddit heel yet. The closest I've ever heard to a good promo on the subject was JBL at One Night Stand 05.
thee Reverend Axl Future
Holy shit. What a magnificent, lispy bastard. "…but let me tell you the story of another loser. It was at a college a lot like Faber. This kid was a real wimp, and everyone teased him constantly. And when they got tired of teasing him they just ignored him. But that kid hung in there and he grew and he developed. And today that wimp…today that wimp is King Olav IV, monarch of Norway!" - Otter/RAF

SwingChainz
NJPW acknowledged that Nakamura is done with the company at the end of the month on their website. He's also been stripped of the IC Title.
MoeCristyV.1.6
The title will now be on the line in "X vs Kenny Omega" at the "NJPW New Beginning" show. Which is a bummer, didn't Shinsuke say that he DOESN'T want to vacate his title and wants to lose it in a match?
The Z
Surprising they went this way, considering that Nakamura is still working until the end of the month and they could have had a regular title change.
ka-to
Surprising they went this way, considering that Nakamura is still working until the end of the month and they could have had a regular title change. A change that the fans knew would happen. They still kayefabe in Japan in many cases. New Japan especially.
mattdangerously
Nakamura leaving is such a poorly kept secret that they might as well vacate the title and put it up in a match where there's at least some mystery as to who will win (even though it's totally going to be Kenny Omega). The Z
It's true that everyone would know the outcome of the match beforehand, but I still think having a regular title change is better than vacating. Vacating a title should always be the last resort in my opinion.

Playa Shunna Ver 3.0
Do a triple threat if you want to hide the outcome. Or pull a TNA and do a triple threat where a guy who wasn't announced for the match some how wins the title.
Trocar Slush Weasel
Do a triple threat if you want to hide the outcome. Anybody with lots of NJPW watching know if they've ever had a Triple Threat match for a major singles title? I know they've had the Junior Tag Titles defended in a four-way match the last two Wrestle Kingdoms.

Brysynner
Do a triple threat if you want to hide the outcome. Or pull a TNA and do a triple threat where a guy who wasn't announced for the match some how wins the title. That wouldn't be a bad thing to do. Nakamura vs. Omega vs. (someone else popular in NJPW) and have the third guy win to keep up the surprise factor. Then you transition that into the new champ vs. Kenny Omega with Omega being upset that he wasn't involved in the decision in the triple threat
Pete
They should have Nak threaten to take the title with him to the WWE if he's stripped. Make him like the ultimate outsider.
