LOL I wouldn't say Davey is the dumbest.  Dude has an education and a career outside the business that would easily get him and his family by if it all ended tomorrow.

Now if we're just talking his in-ring work, yes.

It will be good to see who the dumbest wrestlers around are.

I've heard rumblings that a 20 year multi million dollar Bret Hart type deal is being negotiated with...James Storm

Davey supposedly scored very high on his MCAT, so he should be able to get into med school somewhere if he hasn't already.  I met him a couple times when I lived in California and Davey was still working most every PWG show.  Didn't seem all that dumb to me.

Okay - somewhat seriously

Clearly AxB was making a joke and in Davey's specific case - I think a guy with a very good full time job and new wife and kid, he would take the random indy shows he can make because he wants to wrestle than having to deal with TNA bullshit

NOW - I think a lot of guys would be willing to gamble that the money would show up for what amounts to a week's worth of work every 2-3 months.

The issue is - TNA trying to sign everyone to the deal where TNA controls their indy bookings (so in theory they get a cut of it). Most guys who took those deals saw the number of dates dry up, mainly because either TNA was too understaffed or too lazy to do bookings. (Also there is all the nonsense of TNA pulling guys at the last minute from shows because they suddenly realized "Oh fuck we have to do a TV Taping)

If anyone accepted a deal now, where TNA controls how they work on the indies, they deserve their fate

I'm more interested in the background/follow up to Corgan being named President.  It seems like TNA considered it essentially a kayfabe/on air role only, while Corgan thinks it is an actual role with authority that was undermined/ignored.  Depending on what actually happened/comes out, that seems like one of his better bets for a fraud/misrepresentation case.  Of course, I'm curious if Impact Ventures, LLC even has a "President" officer position.

Has it come out yet that Impact Ventures, LLC was administratively dissolved in August?

Yes - because we had the whole discussion around if they thought somehow they could escape their debt by doing it

I don't recall reading that anywhere. Did they forget to file an annual report? Maybe it's tied into the state taxes they owe?

As far as Richards goes, this is wrestling. Just because you're smart in an intellectual capacity doesn't mean you can't be self-destructive. He wanted to be a fireman, after all. In comparison to working for TNA, he could have at least saved lives in that profession.

Given what we has become common knowledge about WWE, concussions, and pro wrestling in general, it's hard to say anyone who decides to get into wrestling is a smart person.

Yeah, they're missing one.  All of their entities are presumably in the same boat, which stands out a little, because the only other time they've failed to file was their first year.

That's the fucking truth.

Ya know what would be really unfair. Dixie keeps a small percentage and makes a fuckton of money from someone turning the company around.

Now you're just making my point for me.  A dumb indy wrestler would have worked at least one flip into that sequence - maybe a standing moonsault slam after the superplex.

What are Rorschach, The Comedian, and Dr. Manhattan doing in the IMPACT ZONE?!?

Well, Roarshack, The Comic, and Professor Syracuse. They're not going to start springing for IP now.

Meh, never been on the it's cool to hate Davey Richards bandwagon.  I've always enjoyed watching him.  The few times I've been to ROH live, Richards matches were always the highlight, either vs. KENTA or TJ Perkins.  I recall in the KENTA match though, KENTA was the one who blew the reverse GTS, twice.
