Looks like the top three fights for the Fox card in Chicago will be Rumble vs. Teixeira, Gilbert Melendez vs. Edson Barboza, and Holm vs. Shevchenko.

UFC 201 will be in Atlanta, GA and Lawler vs. Woodley will land on that show.

Still no announcement of Phil Brooks' debut then? Didn't seem too long ago, everyone thought it would be on 200.

No, nothing on that yet. Meltzer did say that there is one PPV fight left open for 200 w/ the possibility of Dillashaw vs. Assuncao II being the FS1 headliner.

Beneil Dariush is replacing Evan Dunham against James Vick for UFC 199. Evan Dunham vs. Leo Santos has morphed into Beneil Dariush vs. James Vick. Even when a fight falls out, hard to make a bad fight at lightweight.

Before this season of TUF I really like Joanna, however I feel like she is coming off really poorly on the show whereas Claudia is looking better and better with each episode. Don't get me wrong, I still love & respect Joanna as a fighter, however on the show she just comes off like she is trying, and failing horribly, to be some sort Conor clone in the trash talking department.

I think that's just her. She's competitive on like this almost psychopathic level.

I think with Conor McGregor, it is his personality turned up 30x but he zeroes in on one or two specific things. However, his main objective to make money. A fight is a fight whether it's a new opponent or not.

Claudia and Joanna is an instant personality clash. Claudia is focused more on making her team better. Joanna is doing like some next level cerebral shit. On the last episode when Claudia was about to pick the fight for the next episode (either that or the weigh-in), Joanna did that prison yard/basketball court recon thing where she kept bumping into Claudia as they were walking into the gym. I don't think there are too many fighters who would even think to do something like that. Most MMA fighters (at least the ones on the highest level) aren't looking to carry conflict outside of the cage. Joanna is actually inviting that gleefully. For me, it's bizarre but somehow refreshing to see something you only see in like stick-and-ball sports (sans hockey) where people only bully each other because they know actual fighting is frowned upon. Some folks (cough cough Carmelo cough cough) are looking for the officials or refs to pull them apart. Joanna ain't that type of person, but Claudia has clearly got a breaking point. You know all this is building to Claudia either slapping or punching her in the face.

One of the worst kept secrets is finally coming out: Zuffa (& Flash) selling off the UFC

Greg Savage mentioned the Chinese companies being the frontrunners a few weeks ago on Cheap Seats. Nothing official yet, Rovell basically added the details.

Rumor is the Fertittas want a piece of the Raiders should they move to Vegas.

A $4B valuation would give Frank and Lorenzo $1.62B each, Flash $400M and Dana White $360M. Thems a lot of shekels. #UFC

China winning right now. Might be great news for the fighters because the current regime enforcing the uniform rules not Reebok. Unless I am wrong but I don't think that's in the reebok contract with the UFC.

This is actually an old rumor pick up by ESPN. I am sure Ferttitas always entertain offers throughout the years. Why not

Blackstone Group almost bought it in 2014, but they won't all that interested in selling at that time.

As for what will be good for fighters and all that, you can never say what will be because contracts are contracts for a reason. They're inheriting the Fox deal through 2019, the Reebok deal, and a bunch of other deals. Plus, the UFC model is the only model that works consistently and that's most likely why all those groups want to buy it. This isn't like a bad sports franchise. There is absolutely no reason to gut it on a infrastructure level. Can you make improvements on the fighter pay level or in some language in the contracts? Absolutely, but what proof is there that people are coming in to change that? None. They could be better or be tyrannical because their familiarity with the sport is basically nil. I mean Viacom/Spike were there for the rise of UFC, and their solution for the new regime of Bellator was basically to emulate UFC (production wise and with their contracts) but throw money at all their problems. It still hasn't really yielded the results they were expecting. I mean Chou was a good hire, and they signed a few really nice prospects (I believe Caldwell can compete anywhere). However, does anyone see a path where they can compete with the UFC? My answer is not when they're trying to do Strikeforce-lite.

So for companies like Wanda or China Media Group, there is more reason to keep UFC on the current path than trying to make it something they didn't buy.

Right now, based on Dana's comments on the Dan Patrick Show and what Botter is saying, it looks like Lorenzo is only selling about 15% of his stake in the company. However, they're going to be looking at offers like they've been doing.

On the Raiders thing, Lorenzo (and Frank) would have to step out of the casino business before they even attempt to try to own a team or piece of it. That doesn't seem like the case because Station did their IPO and Red Rock just bought the Palms.

FWIW the Bellator show on Saturday night is running the same time slot as the Koreshkov vs. Henderson show. It's going 8-10 p.m. EST and will not coincide with the UFC 198 main card. Makes sense since that card fell apart over the last 3 weeks or so also losing the Kharitonov fight.

Looks like TUF 24 will be Team Benavidez vs. Team Cejudo with Benavidez vs. Cejudo fighting for a title shot on 12/3 on the finale. Cast will most likely to be flyweights.

Gray Maynard is making his featherweight debut against TUF Brazil finalist Fernando Bruno on the 7/8 TUF finale card.

Never been the biggest Gray fan but I can live without watching him getting his bell rung over and over. I guess the good news is they matched him up with someone who is probably going to put him to sleep a lot more humanely.
