He basically laid out the same reasons I gave VileOne. You're not training for like five or six months and then not fighting if you're healthy. Guest Edwin Posted April 2, 2016 Share Posted April 2, 2016 Elsalvajeloco is right about Jones fighting at UFC 197 -- he pretty much said he's not someone to take fights on a short notice, but that this would be the exception and that he was open to fighting anyone at LHW or HW so there's a very good chance he's fighting on that card no matter who it is. Meltzer said he is suppose to come back in August/September, but Jon is already calling him out for UFC 200. For just about every other fighter, I believe they would just sit out until that timeframe. With DC, I think he would try to rush back and fight Jon Jones at 75%. That would not be good.
