Curt McGirt
Apparently HBO is airing The Godfather Saga with no edits, no commercial breaks (obviously), all the violence (obviously), and unseen footage, calling it The Godfather Epic. Seven and a half hours... bring an empty bottle to piss in
Brian Fowler
The old TV edit that put the first two together and told the story chronologically (with a couple deleted scenes added back in) was how I first saw the movie, on VHS from my college's library. It's interesting that way, but Christ is Cuba really fucking boring without cutting to the superior plot.

Esp weird there is tons of violence and swearing in it.
Matt D
Watched the first two episodes of Master of None. Thought it was well directed/framed but also only really laughed once in the two episodes and some stuff like his audition in the coffee shop was way over the top when it would have actually been a lot funnier if he was more of a human being and less of a character there. On the other hand the first five minutes of a Danny Kaye radio show from the 40s I heard yesterday where he made fun of Jack Benny's toupee was about 20 times funnier.
Raziel
So, did anyone make it more than 20 minutes into The Colony before tapping because of zero exposition?
Technico Support
I didn't mind that. A lot of shows start in the middle of things and hint at exposition and, done well, you don't feel completely lost. Put me down for, "it was above average and I'm curious to see where it goes." Stennick
Once I heard it was The Americans with Aliens (well kind of Aliens) my interest depleted rapidly.
Raziel
My issue was 30 minutes in, and there wasn't *any* clue as to what was actually going on or why. I don't need spoon feeding, but I could use a crumb or two to get in the right direction, the show had neither outside from post-something weeding out genetic issues in a totalitarian society. Victator
Anyone here watch season 3 of Todd Margaret?I really admired how it made no attempt to be accessible to new viewers. I would not want that every time, but here it worked. But its also tough to discuss without spoiling everything.
Spritenaut 32
I had zero interest in Angie Tribeca. Caught a few minutes of one of the eps, ended up watching the whole season. Not really my thing, but it's rather funny if you like dumb sight gags and over-the-top humor. I laughed quite a bit.

BrianS81177
Fucking Fox. My DVR cut off the last 20 minutes of X-Files because of the fucking post game shit.

Spritenaut 32
Anyone watch Lucifer? I'll probably watch the pilot regardless but I kinda want to get a sense of how high it ranks on the "Mike Carey Fan Rage Scale" before I do.
CSC
I started watching The 100 last night on Netflix and ended up liking it way more than I expected to. Wound up watching the first 6 episodes. I really like most of the cast and the kind of Lost slow burn that they've started with.

JRGoldman
Did the double episode premiere of The Magicians have anything that the commercial free one hour thing didn't? Like, can I just start with episode three, or do I need to watch these episodes as well?
J.T.
IIRC The double episode premiere was the pilot and ep 2.
