Tabe
When did all movie commericals start using the exact same format? By that I mean, widescreen presentation but with a bar at the top and one at the bottom with the date and name or whatever. They all look exactly the same now, even across studios and so on. When (and how?) did that start?
The Great ML
BTW, when did movie trailers begin to always start with the same three words..."In a world..."
Elsalvajeloco
BTW, when did movie trailers begin to always start with the same three words..."In a world..." Pablo Francisco made his comedy career off the Don LaFontaine bit.
sydneybrown
The first movie trailer I remember seeing the name and date on the top was Pineapple Express and that was 2008. So it's been going on at least for five years if not more so. I want to know why movie trailers continue to use the "record skip" to indicate something wacky's about to happen when the people these movies are catering to have probably never used a record player in their life. Reggie20x6
I just want to know when they're going to stop ruining plot points and big reveals, or punchlines to gags in comedies? I actively avoid all trailers unless I'm actually sitting in a cinema - then I have no choice but to watch. But, I'm also the guy who avoids the "NEXT WEEK ON..." bit, whenever possible. S.K.o.S.
Soon all voiceovers, record skips, and dialogue in movie trailers will be drowned out by one long Inception horn.
The Man Known as Dan
Reggie, the person in your gif is the stupidest person on this planet. Oh, and when Hollywood lost most of it's originality, so a long time ago.
BobbyWhioux
Probably about the same time all movies became the same.
