I don't know how many WCW shows were involved in filming that movie, but having been at one of the Nitros that was used, here's a couple things I remember:

Oliver Platt's character has a full on ring entrance with Nitro girls at his side. This took place between a couple matches. Watching the replay of the show the next day, I think it was done over the span of two backstage interviews and a commercial break.

You know how if you go to a show that's being recorded, you'll see a sign or two that points out it is being recorded and you may appear on camera? That flier they put up on the front doors to cover themselves for legal purposes? Well, I'm sure I saw a dozen of them throughout the building and they had twice as much legalese plastered on each one.

People were actually talking about the movie as if it was going to be great.

Jesus. The funny part of it is, watching the film, you'd never know they actually recorded at a Nitro, almost every arena based scene looking awful (I remember the Royal Bash scene looking a bit better)? No wrestling scenes then, just the intro?

I don't think there were any matches or scenes filmed specifically for the movie that night, just that ring entrance.

I want to say the ring announcer said ahead of time it was for the movie, and then they started some entrance music I didn't recognize, but I could be wrong.

Just to drop this in here, the latest Squared Circle Gazette Radio is now up, as we get litigious in Small Claims Court! Rather than tackle one issue like our regular "trial" shows, we debate - Was WWF wrong to give Shawn Michaels the Intercontinental Title in 1992? Was Jeff Jarrett truly guilty of extortion against the WWF in October 1999? Were the New Age Outlaws guilty of general harrassment as an act? Were the WWF guilty of negligence by not pushing Tazz in 2000? Are "smart" wrestling fans guilty of fraud for being parodies of themselves at WWE shows? And is WWE guilty of false advertising by hiding behind the veil of "Sports Entertainment"? An extremely fun show this week, check it out and let us know what you think!
