Never a dull moment with Evander Kane

Quote

San Jose Sharks forward Evander Kane is being investigated after allegations that he used a fake COVID-19 vaccination card, a source told ESPN's Emily Kaplan on Wednesday, confirming earlier reports.

According to a source, the investigation centers on whether Kane submitted a fraudulent vaccination card as well as on the domestic assault allegations made by his estranged wife, Anna Kane, in the recent divorce filing. The NHL has begun interviews on the case, and there is no timeline for a completion of the investigation.

It's unclear whether Anna Kane is participating in the investigation. She did not participate in the league's recent investigation on whether Kane gambled on NHL games, including some wagers placed against the Sharks.

Using a fake vaccination card is illegal in the United States and Canada and is against NHL rules.

Quote

Chicago Blackhawks president of hockey operations Stan Bowman has resigned after investigators released their findings on how the team handled sexual assault allegations against former video coach Brad Aldrich during the 2010 Stanley Cup run.

Senior director of hockey administration Al MacIsaac is also out, meaning there are no Blackhawks executives involved with the 2010 team remaining with the organization.

The league also said it was fining the team $2 million for the "organization's inadequate internal procedures and insufficient and untimely response in the handling of matters related to former video coach Brad Aldrich's employment with the Club and ultimate departure in 2010."

Half of the fine will be set aside for local organizations that support survivors of sexual and other forms of abuse.

A $2M fine seems a pittance

Yeah, 15 minutes of playoff game revenue or something (totally made up, you get the idea).  Definitely worth the ROI for the org.
