It was announced on Informa this week that the show would be moving from Terra to the CMLL YouTube channel.

There was a press conference held to announce the full Triplemania XXIII lineup on Thursday and probably the biggest story to come out of it was the fact that Alberto el Patron wasn't there. Brian Cage wasn't there either but the fact that what happened on Alberto's Twitter feed on Sunday night regarding his threatening of Myzteziz and the fact that Myzteziz was at the press conference to hype up his "dream match" with Rey Mysterio Jr. was quite interesting. Myzteziz definitely teased a rudo turn as he was being coarse with Rey Jr. talking about going to his "dark side" to win. Myzteziz was asked about Alberto's comments and of course he declined comments which Alberto eventually deleted this week. They are running with the storyline of Myzteziz possibly turning rudo with the rudos all saying that they would welcome him and Myzteziz told R de Rudo that being a rudo is his birthright since his father Dr. Karonte was a rudo. Both are also using their relationship with Perro Aguayo Jr. as motivation with Myzteziz saying that he would be an angel in his corner while Rey said that he would rip Myzteziz's mask off and give it to Perro Sr. as a gift.

AAA announced at the press conference that Perro Aguayo Jr. would be inducted in their Hall of Fame this year with his family there to accept for him.

3. En Busca de un Idolo: Esfinge beat Disturbio with Esfinge getting a score of 35 and Disturbio a score of 33.
4. En Busca de un Idolo: Bobby Zavala defeated Guerrero Maya Jr. with Zavala getting a score of 33 and Maya also a score of 33. Estrellita was the guest judge this week.
5. Marco Corleone/Maximo/Volador Jr. beat Los Terriblemente Guapos (Damian el Terrible/Rey Bucanero/Shocker)
6. Kraneo/Rey Escorpion/Ripper defeated Los Guerreros Laguneros (Euforia/Gran Guerrero/Ultimo Guerrero) when Thunder who was supposed to be in this match but subbed out for Scorp, came out anyway and distracted UG forcing him to get pinned.

EMLL 8/1 - Arena Coliseo
1. Bengala beat Camorra by DQ after Bengala's mask was ripped off.
2. Akuma defeated Molotov
3. Electrico beat Nitrito
4. Raziel defeated Super Halcon Jr.
5. Puma King beat Hombre Bala Jr.
6. Princesa Sugei & Silueta defeated Dalys la Caribena & Zeuxis with Silueta going over Zeuxis then challenged her for a shot at her Mexican National Femenil Title afterwards.
7. Dragon Lee II/Fuego/Mistico II beat Ephesto/Felino/Mephisto in a match where Mistico suffered another shoulder injury in the 1st fall and had to leave the match thus making it a handicap match. Reports were Mistico could've suffered a dislocation.

GIW 8/1 - Arena Azteca Budokan de Neza
1. Batalla Campal: Arana de Plata Jr. eliminated Jinzo to win. Other participants: Centella Atomica/Coyote/Shadow Boy
