John from Cincinnati
I didn't love it at the cinema, but I'm starting to think Miami Vice is one of the best films of the 21st century. How drunk am I? The more accurate question is: how much heroin did you mainline before you started drinking tonight? I've become so numb... Jiji
I thought it was a really good one but didn't deliver on a level people were expecting, so it was seen as a disappointment by many.
John from Cincinnati
I don't think a different title would solve all the problems people have with the film, but it would certainly temper some of those expectations. Still, I have seen the film grow on a small segment of the audience over the last couple years.
(BP)
Just watched The Cook, The Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover. Michael Gambon is a remarkably disgusting villain, and Helen Mirren is wonderful too. I'm not British, nor am I very familiar with Thatherism, so most of the allegory flew over my head. But as a lurid, grotesque performance piece it was excellent.
ArtVanderlay
I'll go to my grave defending Cursed as a good werewolf movie. Christina Ricci didn't get naked and didn't have hot werewolf sex, so....no.
