TNA Impact Wrestling from Orlando, FL

 

*Jeff Hardy came to the ring and cut a promo, endorsing #MattForChamp. Ethan Carter III agreed to defend the title against Matt under the stipulation that if Matt loses, Jeff becomes EC3's assistant.

 

*Mr. Anderson def. Bram in an Open Mic match which was a hardcore match where weapons were lowered from the ceiling when the wrestlers called for it.

 

*Eric Young def. Chris Melendez via pinfall with feet on ropes to win Melendez's leg.

 

*The Wolves def. The Revolution (Abyss & Manik) to retain the tag team championships. James Storm tried to interfere but was stopped by Mahabali Shera.

 

*Brooke vs. Velvet Sky went to a no contest when the Dollhouse (Marti Bell & Jade) attacked both. Rebel came down for the save but turned heel and attacked Velvet. Taryn Terrell appeared on the screen and said Velvet shouldn't have gotten involved in their business.

 

*Bobby Roode def. James Storm, Lashley, & Mr. Anderson to earn a shot at PJ Black's King of the Mountain Championship.

 

*Dixie Carter and Jeff Jarrett in-ring promo putting over TNA and Global Force working together. Drew Galloway interrupted and revealed he checked the security cameras on who attacked him and discovered the two rental cars were registered to Jeff Jarrett. Karen Jarrett admitted she did it for their family and Global Force. Jeff Jarrett then turned heel and attacked Galloway.

 

*Bram def. Kenny King in what was the return of Open Fight Night.

 

*Tigre Uno def. Sonjay Dutt & DJ Z to retain the X Division Championship

 

*Velvet Sky came out and called out Taryn Terrell. Taryn appeared on the screen and said she would destroy Velvet on every level. Jade, Marti Bell, & Rebel attacked Velvet until Angelina Love & Madison Rayne made the save, reforming The Beautiful People.

 

*The Global Force Wrestling roster came out to boos and boring chants. Chris Masters announced he was the one who took out Bully Ray and Drew Galloway under the orders of Karen Jarrett. Jarrett says the hostile takeover starts tonight and nobody can compete with the Global Force roster. Masters issued an open challenge to anyone in the TNA locker room.

 

*Lashley def. Chris Masters via DQ when the Global Force guys interfered. The Wolves ran out for the save but got beat down as well.

 

*Trevor Lee & Brian Myers def. The Wolves to win the tag team championships after Karen Jarrett had brought out Magnus's Feast or Fired briefcase.

 

*Ethan Carter III def. Matt Hardy to retain the TNA Worlds Heavyweight Championship, forcing Jeff to become EC3's assistant.

 

*Bobby Roode def. PJ Black to win the King of the Mountain Championship. Sonjay Dutt tried to interfere but Drew Galloway stopped him. Afterwards, Bobby Roode cut a promo declaring he is a TNA guy.

 

*Dixie Carter and Jeff Jarrett finish with a shoot promo on each other. They set up Team Global Force vs Team TNA (Drew Galloway, Lashley, & The Wolves) for TNA's shares in a Winner Takes All Lethal Lockdown Match.

Why would Dixie make this deal? What does TNA have to gain from beating GFW at Lockdown? She could've just said 'no' and that would've been it. If GFW wins LL then that means that Dixie would have lost control of TNA not once (by signining her control over to Bischoff), but twice within the last 5 years.

In my mind I'm pretending this actually takes them through next September, which should lead to some tremendous storytelling. I can't wait to see how they build this over the next several months.

Classic TNA.  So what are the 2 side fighting over.  Control of a TV show that won't exist in 2 months?  GFW's TV show they taped for the imaginary TV deal?  I mean I guess they could show some of the GFW stuff on iMPACT!, but it seems like they have so much footage right now.  Either way, the whole thing is a mess.  Both companies need to go away.

Yeah I know, but let's be realistic here: come September, which is only a few weeks away, neither company is going to have tv in United States (^TM Dave Meltzer), and then what?  I suppose TNA will stick around long enough to fulfill their international obligations, but 1) no domestic networks want anything to do with wrestling, and 2) even if they did, Dixie seems determined to ensure that none of them would touch TNA with a 10-foot pole.

It's amazing from the perspective of watching a very slow moving train wreck.  So I am confused here (as I often am with TNA). If Global Force wins the Lockdown match and Jarrett gets the 50% that Dixie has...is that a work or for real? Far as I can tell GFW had actual people paying to see their tv tapings which means they have a huge leg up on TNA.

Tigre uno and Mandrews defeated TJP (Manik unmasked) and DJ Z


Impact:

ECIII introduces everyone to his new assistant, Jeff Hardy. He goes on to say that he could care less about the TNA vs GFW drama. He says that as long as he has the belt then he has the power in this company. He demands that Hardy get him some water and then tosses the water in Hardy’s face.

ECIII and Tyrus defeated Matt Hardy and Rockstar Spud. ECIII demanded that Jeff hit Spud with a chair during the match but he refused.

Jeff Jarrett came to the ring and called out new TNA King Of The Mountain champion Bobby Roode. He says Bobby has something that belongs to him and he wants it back. Bobby tells Jeff that if he wants it then he has to fight for it. The two stare eachother down until Karen Jarrett calms the two down.

Tigre Uno, Robbie E and Micah defeated Eli Drake, Kenny King and Jessie Godderz in a 6 man tag team bout.

Brooke vs Gail Kim ends in a disqualification. During the match Lei’D Tapa attacks both women and Awesome Kong comes out to make the save.

The Wolves defeated Trevor Lee & Brian Myers to regain the TNA World Tag Team titles. Sonjay Dutt tried to interfere and Earl Hebner knocked Sonjay out and made the 3 count.

Sarge Chris Melendez sans his prothetic leg challenges Eric Young to one more match. Young agrees but warns Melendez that he is going to take much more than his leg this time.

Chris Mordetzky defeats Drew Galloway in a lumberjack match Eric Young turns on TNA and joins the GFW crew.

Mahabali Sheera defeated Abyss after James Storm accidentally hits Abyss.

Dixie Carter and Jeff Jarrett sign contracts putting their shares at of TNA Wrestling at stake. The contracts are placed in a briefcase. The two begin to argue and shoot on one another. At the end of the segment, Jarrett KO’d Jeremy Borash.

Gail Kim defeated Brooke, Awesome Kong, and Lei’D Tapa in a 4 way to become the new TNA Knockouts Champion.

Matt Hardy defeated Jessie Godderz

TNA Wrestling defeated Global Force Wrestling in a Lethal Lockdown match for control of TNA Wrestling:
In order of appearance. Sonjay Dutt, Davey Richards, Eric Young (GFW), Drew Galloway, Brian Myers, Lashley, Chris Mordetzky, Eddie Edwards, Jeff Jarrett, Bram. Drew Galloway pinned brian Myers for the win.
