Mistah Na1m4rk
I love this show, I think the writing is great and the cast of characters really offers a plethora of possibilities. I think the only thing I find consistently annoying is anything with Sam's unrequited love for Janice, too cringe-y for my tastes, but that's just me.
BrianS81177
I like the show mostly but that Pizza dude is fucking unbearable.
Jingus
Well, that's kind of the point. The dude is obviously based on real-life marketers and other interferers from the studio. But it is sometimes possible to make a heel too despicable to the point where they become unwatchable.
BrianS81177
I've got no problem with them having a meddling executive character, but he's just the drizzling shits.
TheVileOne
Unsurprisingly show was officially cancelled. So my prediction of the show lasting about six episodes was only off by about 10 episodes. Sometimes I think people like the idea of the Muppets and Muppets nostalgia more than they are actually fans of the Muppets and actually want to watch a show about them.
Eivion
I'm sorry it won't be returning. It was fun.
jstout
They were itching for a reason to dislike it because it wasn't The Muppet Show, even though ABC tried a re-do of The Muppet Show earlier and it flopped. I still don't get all this "cynical, mean Kermit" stuff - he was a showrunner, and he had to occasionally manipulate his diva star to get things going. It was his job. I dunno why people couldn't handle Kermit as Liz Lemon in a Muppet 30 Rock. I adored this show and am horribly sad to see it go and hope it doesn't scuttle the occasional Muppet movie.
Matt D
I wanted something I could watch with my kids like the Muppet Show or movies, which worked on multiple levels. This didn't. it also started out rough and got better which is enough to doom something in today's environment. I also strongly dislike 30 Rock so I'm consistent at least. I maintain it was just millennial blogger bullshit. Kermit was never cynical.
WholeFnMachine
This is such shitty news, I really enjoyed the show, sure there were rough spots & some episodes were better than others, but I thought it was a lot of fun. Mourning the Kerm.
Mistah Na1m4rk
I really enjoyed the show and will miss it. It was the best Muppet-related property since, geez I dunno, Muppet Christmas Carol?
jstout
I loved both the new movies, but they probably got a lot of nostalgia slack from me. I thought the second one was really good in comparison to the bad reviews. It's mindless fun. People expect too much out of their TV and movies sometimes. Dolfan in NYC
So apparently Fozzie hadn't been told about the show's cancellation: http://www.vulture.com/2016/05/fozzie-learns-about-the-muppets-cancellation.html#
TheVileOne
I think this is just sort of the way of things for the Muppets. They aren't meant to be wildly successful or have a hit long-running series
