Hail Sabin
Just finished watching InVicta 3 and they tore it up again. Looks like before the version UFC fight pass has had Tecia torres fighting before and as well as Joanna Calderwood. Penne won the Atomweight title, Bazler looked great again and Pennington vs. Zingano now would be really interesting to see.
Elsalvajeloco
If anybody is interested, the Looking for a Fight crew will be at Legacy FC 51 tonight. Everyone is assuming that it will be Ricardo Ramos that they'll be specifically looking at. He will be fighting undefeated Manny Vazquez for the Legacy bantamweight belt. It was originally suppose to be Ramos vs. Augusto Tanquinho before Tanquinho got signed to the UFC. Also on tonight's card, heavyweight prospect Cody East and undefeated welterweight Antonio Trocoli against Jacob Volkmann.

Hail Sabin
Just finished watching InVicta 4 Joanna Calderwood looked vicious in her fight and somehow her opponent was able to get it to a decision. Nunes lost which surprised me and Pennington once again seemed sluggish in her lost as well. Bazler vs. Davis was fight of the night with a nasty finish by Davis with blood added to make in more memorable. Carla did what she does and beat Bec to win the Strawweight title. I might try to watch #5 before this weekend's triple header of shows.
Elsalvajeloco
With that win over Barajas, Marlon Moraes is now one fight away from the end of his WSOF contract. Thank Jeebus.
Hail Sabin
Bellator should go after Moraes hard but if he stays in WSOF it will be interesting to see which title he goes after.
Hail Sabin
InVicta 5 Smith vs. Kaufman was my 2nd favorite fight of the night. Leslie Smith has been really great in these 1st five InVicta shows. Cyborg mauled her opponent. Porto vs. Honchak was good but could have been better. Waterson vs. Penne was my favorite fight of the night. Waterson pulled off a great escape in the 3rd round and a sweet quick armbar to win the Atomweight Title.

He wants to go the UFC. I doubt Bellator has any interest in him.
Shawn411
As much crap Bellator got, they deliver a more entertaining show than wsof.
Hail Sabin
Justin Gaethje vs. Brian Foster at WSOF 29 should be a great title fight.
Elsalvajeloco
Man....Gono got leveled on some World Star shit. Why is this guy not on the WSOF shows in the US? They need all hands on deck.
Guest Edwin
Gono needs to hang them up. I remember him talking about retirement and then appearing on Shoot Boxing cards and fighting Chandler in Bellator. I really hope he hangs them up as he's far from what he used to be and he's getting knocked out pretty badly recently.
Elsalvajeloco
I dunno how he kept fighting after the Hornbuckle fight. That was perhaps the only time in MMA I thought someone was legitimately dead or could have been fatally injured. So it's quite surreal for me that he is just taking fights after that. Guest Edwin
Agreed. The way his body reacted was quite freakish. That period in JMMA provided us with some quality finishes between Sengoku and DREAM. It's funny how back then, Jorge Santiago made such a name for himself in his Sengoku run that people thought he had a legit chance of beating Vitor in their rumored fight in Affliction. Good thing that never happened. With Jorge's chin and the power Vitor has, that would've probably produced a KO on the same level, if not worse than the aforementioned Hornbuckle head kick KO of Gono. Good thing that never happened. With Jorge's chin and the power Vitor has, that would've probably produced a KO on the same level, if not worse than the aforementioned Hornbuckle head kick KO of Gono. I mean people thought Denis Kang was going to beat Anderson Silva because he was on a mini-run and had like countless wins over bums in Korea. I think seven or eight years, people were way more optimistic about people coming in and being contenders than now where it's vice versa. We've had so many disappointments that it overshadows that people from WEC and Strikeforce or wherever have had plenty of success. In addition, people are overlooking that there are better crop of prospects now than we ever had when the sport took off. They might not all be in the money divisions, but they are certainly there in numbers. For Santiago, I am always kinda glad when those dudes get another shot at the big time. Not so much when they're old and burned out, but when they legit earned some type of recognition. He might not be able to compete on the highest level consistently, but he isn't there because he forced himself to be there. Plus, it forces those fighters who are stuck in the middle to make a decision. Santiago has way more of a place as a coach and mentor than as a fighter. Same with a Duane Ludwig or a Mark Munoz. When the competing is done, there is something else for them instead of "get knocked out at an Indian casino in front of 30 people". It might not be a million dollars, but it beats the added punishment that's completely unnecessary.

Guest Edwin
That was nasty. One of the nastiest KO's I've ever seen in my life. Barboza vs. Etim level nasty. Demario got stretchered out pretty badly.

Kyuubi
Artem Levin can always Lion Fight if you want clinch. Last time Levin fought Marcus in Lion Fight rules, he got his ass kicked. Now he wants to clinch knowing that Marcus's main weapon is the clinch and the latter seems pressed not use it. I am glad that he lost the title. Marcus is going to dominate the middleweight division.

We'll see how 151 turns out next week. They need Caldwell to clown Warren. I saw somewhere that Bellator only televised five bantamweight fights last year. I wonder if that's just only title fights and Joe Warren. If so, they need to revive that division something fierce.

keith_h
Kimbo and Ken Shamrock both failed their drug tests at Bellator 149... I think it's safe to say Kimbo didn't fail for EPO or any steroid than enhances endurance. http://www.mmafighting.com/2016/3/11/11207556/kimbo-slice-ken-shamrock-fail-drug-tests-at-bellator-149
