A thread for PS+/PSN Deals

That's why I said "in vain".  I know its not price dropping anytime in the next 6-8 months.  But I can dream for a PS+ weekend flash sale, can't I?

Well, if you buy an Xbox one, you can get Destiny for free :)

I can get the same with a PS4 too, but I don't have the $400 laying around do buy either.  I'm just here hoping for less than $60 before I actually drop the $60 on the PS3 version and can then get the free upgrade when I eventually upgrade to the PS4.

If you wait until the Black Friday sales you may be able to snatch one for... maybe $40 at the lowest, but I'd be amazed if you see anything before then.

I'm a cynic, I'm always continually dissappointed, haven't you been keeping up?

Your best bet is to scour Ebay. A friend of mine sent me a link to a PS4 sale that had the game for $50 with free shipping.

After Tax, that's saving about $16.

I don't have the funds, or I would have snagged it.

Keep an eye out for Redbox as well - while it's not the same as owning the game, you can rent it for a couple of bucks if you just want to try it out and don't mind the last-gen versions. IGN's graphical comparisons show that they do look pretty good in their own right.

Oh, and one more - Dell currently has the collector's edition of Assassin's Creed Unity on their site for $59.99 on pre-order.  This is the same version that's going for $129.99 on Amazon.  Some folks are having good luck with getting Best Buy to price match it.  Caveat: the UPC listed apparently is for the regular version of the game, not the CE.  But the description is very obviously the CE.

According to this article there is suppose to be a free version of the game available for plus members. http://www.gamespot.com/articles/here-s-what-driveclub-s-free-playstation-plus-edition-includes/1100-6419359/

In response, game director Paul Rustchynsky denied that this is the case. "The PlayStation Plus Edition hasn't changed," he replied. "It's hardly a demo because you get access to all of the game's features online and offline." He recently said something similar to GameSpot, telling us it's "feature-complete."

His comment went on to confirm precisely what will be included in the Plus Edition: "The difference is that you only have 10 cars and you can only race in one country (which gives you access to 5 tracks with 11 distinct variants)."
