KrisZ Posted April 17, 2015 Share Posted April 17, 2015 NOTICIASThere was a big press conference in Mexico City on Monday where Baja California senator Marco Antonio Velazquez announced that not only should lucha libre have government oversight but all sports in general throughout the country. This plan includes drug testing, health care, insurance, & licensing and it's not concrete on what other sports that have signed off on this but Edgar Sosa who is one of the main guys for the World Boxing Council and former Olympic track & field star Ana Guevara were among the other luminaries there. There were 5 other senators there and they announced that they would be taking a plan to legislation next Thursday where they will be pushing a code of ethics for athletes and their employers, a national commission to oversee every state in the country, a full system of medical records, annual license renewals, and a licensing exam plus medical insurance for high impact sports.Hijo del Santo who was also at the press conference said afterwards that AAA & EMLL must work together to make this work but both promotions have said that they won't participate on their own merit.
