Robert Posted February 25, 2015 Share Posted February 25, 2015 Venum/Ludxor/Dinastia/Arez vs Apache/Carta Brava/Mini Psycho Clown/Ciclope - 1/23/15: FREAKIN' AWESOME! As usual everyone can learn from AAA. The opener needs to be a fun match full of spots to get the crowd going. Fuck that "burn out the crowd on highspots" shit. The crowd is hottest when the show starts. You can't kill them by sending out fucking Leono & Metatron to do nothing. Fucking CMLL. Anyways... these guys just went all out. It was a tecnico showcase with the rudos just getting a minute or so before the tecnicos fought back. Arez looked really good and professional. He has zero charisma but a great look. The opposite for Ciclope who has a shit look but was sort of charasmatic and I guess was just there to eat Arez' offense which he did a fine job of doing. They mixed up the pairings a lot which was a nice twist. The dives were off the charts and the finish was super sick with the power bomb/Air Raid Crash off the top rope at the same time! MORE OF THIS PLEASE! Gotita De Plata/Super Nova/Nino Hamburguesa vs Apache/Mamba/Belial - 1/30/15: God bless random AAA TV openers! Super Nova really doesn't fit in with this crew as you'd expect him to be much higher with his talent and family connections but he was actually the worst guy here. Not that he was bad, he just did nothing. Maybe he thought he was better than being in this match. Gotita was the star! He hit a ton of crazy shit including our first DOTYC! Crazy that he's only 16. Belial did good as a rudo and still got his trademark spots in. Apache & Mamba were great as usual and kept the tecnicos in check. Every promotion should have openers like this. Some nutty bumps like Suicide living up to his name taking a BACKDROP ON THE APRON! Why? Why? WHY??? Daga solid as usual really laying in his strikes here and eating superkicks like a man. Great dive sequence. They do the PWG style everyone hits a move or strike and collapses in exhaustion. Finish was brilliantly done when Daga grabbing his choke on Argenis and Suicide can't do anything to help before he gets murdered himself. Would easily go **** on this. Robert Posted April 22, 2015 Share Posted April 22, 2015 Aero Star/Argenis/Fenix vs Carta Brava Jr./Hijo De Pirata Morgan/Electro Shock - 4/1/15 Super fun match as you'd expect with this crew minus Electro Shock. I finally figured out what Aero Star's spot is meant to be where he sits on the guy on the top rope! Super creative! Just way too much great stuff here to describe. It kinda gets derailed mid-match when Electro Shock becomes Electro Shock and decides it's time to chase the referee to the back for no reason other than he's probably not happy he is working at this level. But we get back on track with Pirata basing great and Fenix making some way too complicated spots look super easy and also MURDERING Carta Brava Jr. with one of the sickest sunset flip bombs you'll ever see. Spot of the year candidate right there! Pirata gets a chance to do his flying and shine which was nice to see. Aero Star/Argenis win the psycho award as they mis-time a double 619 & a double springboard dropkick so you'd think they might slow it down and realize they're on different pages but nope... they go all out to do a double tope suicida onto Electro Shock and somehow everyone survives. Fenix beats Carta and then Carta's partners beat the fuck out of him although at the end of the day I think he might fit better here than Kronoz will. Made the CMLL Reyes Del Aire from a month before look like a match from the 1950's. Describing it wouldn't do it justice, you should all watch it if you're a fan of crazy spotfests.
