remember when they then made Bob Holly and Bart Gunn the new Midnight Express?

I'd really rather not remember that, yet I do.  That was a weird time.

Speaking of Midnight Express, Scott Dawson kept hyping up the Eaton/Condrey version of the Midnight Express.  I'm feeling the urge to check out some of their better matches but not sure where to start.  Figure there's bound to be some on the Network so I wouldn't mind any suggestions to check out.

I've seen their squash matches and have been impressed off of that alone.  But I'd like to see some epics where they go against teams like Rock and Roll Express.  Thanks.

The MX vs. The Street People (Jimmy Valiant/Miss Atlanta Lively aka Ronnie Garvin) streetfight from Starrcade 85 is about as good of a match there is where two of the participants are wearing tuxedos, one is in drag and the other is Jimmy Valiant. And I'm not kidding. It's actually spirited little brawl.

I'm hoping Dawson is able to get them to bring in the RNRs for a match.  We know Morton would be down for it.

I wish there was a way they could time travel and work in the 80s with the top tag teams.  That would be something.  It's amazing how they bring a "dated" formula yet prove it's so effective it becomes relevant and now unique to what they bring.

I think the Revival has shown that they have a lot of tricks they can use in the cut offs of a hot tag.  I think in they tend to use a lot of them in the big NXT matches, if they get on the main roster, they're going to need to be a bit more conservative in what move they use so their matches don't end up too samey, but they have some great hot tags and they are great at stoking the heat on people before the hot tag comes.

When three of the four wrestlers in the ring are Eaton, Condrey, and Garvin and all three of those guys are throwing punches, it is not possible to have a match worse than "solid."

Did WWE Network find more old ECW TV on an unmarked tape or something? They just put up episodes labeled "ECW Hardcore TV 02" and ECW Hardcore TV 03", so as of today the earliest ECW match on the WWE Network is now Glenn Osbourne vs frigging Johnny Hotbody. It does start with an awesome promo exchange between Terry Funk and Eddie Gilbert though.

Given that not a single piece of footage from the Battle of Atlanta has been seen (at least none that anybody is letting people see) ever, I am kind of suspicious on this.  Wasn't there a Rich vs Sawyer cage match after the famous Battle of Atlanta match?

Yeah, I can't believe the Last Battle of Atlanta just popped up somewhere unless there were highlights on an old episode of GCW.

Was never shown on TV.

Yeah, I will seriously be stunned if what is listed as "Last Battle of Atlanta" is anything more than either (a) promos building up the match, (b) still photos from the PWI library with a WWE narration or (c) some other random cage match between Tommy and Buzz.

Because if they found the actual match and are giving it to us, then hell, we may just yet get Bret Hart vs Tom Magee.
