He is a tricky character to do right and one that will easily be off putting to people if done wrong. As someone who is constantly angry about the gluten-free fad, the gluten joke killed me. Otherwise this looked sort of fun and the good kind of stupid. Very much like a 90s comic but with the fuck word getting said more. So like Deadpool as an Image comic rather than a quasi parody of an Image comic. It seemed like an awful lot for Glover to be doing at once. I don't know where else they take the show that would be a good fit (maybe Adult Swim or Comedy Central.) I guess it could end up on the Disney streaming service, but even if it has a parental control blocked section, it's hard to believe it would be the same show it would have been on FX. I totally forgot about this. It took awhile for Atlanta to get made in between everything surrounding Childish Gambino (recording and touring) and movies. I'm not sure how he fits in another TV show and stays sane. It's still weird to see this dude who was one of the funniest parts of Derrick Comedy videos is now having all of this success.
