This was a nice appetizer for the title match. It's funny how Ishikawa and especially Sato seem to tower over the BJW stalwarts. I like Oka and Sek working over more than under but this was still perfectly fine. Sato's elbows being sold like instant death by both men was especially fun and spotwise I loved the 1. the hernia-inducing double deadlift vertical suplexes, and 2. the concussion-inducing double elbows to the head. After that last one I expected Oka to lay on the mat unconscious for a minute then get up and go slay everyone while yelling "NOBODY POTATOES ME!" in Japanese.

If Ishikawa/Okabayashi shows up on Youtube and somebody finds it, could you repost it? I really wanna see that match but there's no way I'm dealing with Dailymotion again after my near-fiasco with trying to watch Nakamura/Ibushi from '13 on there (AKA WHY IS THE AUDIO FOR OLIVE GARDEN COMMERCIALS PLAYING OVER MY GODDAMN VIDEO).

My lord was that a whole lot of heavy leather gettin' th'owed. The sound when Oka hit his arm on the post was just sickening and suitably, he bladed it. He also reasonably worked through the pain to use the arm again which lesser wrestlers wouldn't be able to pass off with their own selling. Oka struggling out of the suplex attempts was also awesome -- you can see this dude's abs appear beneath the flab and realize that both guys are really pure muscle. And of course, anything with a bunch of shoot headbutts is gonna be in my good graces. Killer match.

The first online sighting of Mean Machine Mark Sanders in about a year, aside from a teasing few seconds of a match against Chris Masters. He's inexplicably a babyface now, has lost a couple of stone and in general no longer looks like a portrait of your aggro uncle as a slightly younger man. The face turn has added some questionable stuff, but he's good enough to keep the crowd with him. Still looks like a dude who wears nice shirts to go out drinking and fighting though.

Good thing I ran this through google translate - and didn't just skip it when the Bullet Club knockoffs came out - as my man Hyper Chosu Aihara makes his triumphant return to murder fools. The ending leads me to believe he'll soon be murdering his tag partners here, which I heartily approve of. Overall, it's a mixed bag, I like how the guy with the flower design flubs moves, then follows straight up with stuff that really connects. It's all about Aihara though, I made a gif that represents what he's all about pretty well.

Fun PR brawl to set up the AWWWESOME Carlito versus el Hijo De Ray Gonzalez series.

--------------

Oooo!  Kohei Sato and Sugiura all always intense when they lock-up.

This match happened yesterday and it was a real hoot live so I hope that sorta comes across here. Young Bucks vs Dudleys in an American Legion with 400+ people up in there getting rowdy for it.

What's the story with Sato's elbow/forearm? It's always sold like it's death. Did he get into a motorcycle incident and have a metal plate installed in that sum'bitch?

This is just how I recall it and not factual information but when he started working BJW in ~2013 he started stiffing the shit out of people with them on a level that words cannot describe. Like, you would totally buy him KOing Ikeda with them. He probably took 20 years off of Kazuki Hashimoto's lifespan. They were just sold accordingly and eventually became a myth of sorts.
