JCM
At least Reigns didn't show his bare ass. Vince flew right past his Michael Jordan on the Wizards phase, and went to Willie Mays on the Mets.
Craig H
Oh, and this was the awful moment during that Rock and Reigns promo I was speaking about. I cringed so hard when Reigns did that. How did this guy go from complete badass to total dork in the span of a year?
EVA
I finally watched that interview, and wow, does Reigns come off like a total stooge and not remotely near Rock's level.
MonteCarl
Our 12 year old stopped watching wrestling around the time Daniel Bryan got injured and left. He was a big fan for about two years, and Daniel Bryan, Sheamus, and Ryback were his favorites. A few months ago, I asked him why he stopped watching and he said because Daniel Bryan was gone and for me to let him know when Bryan comes back. I let him know a month ago when he came back and he said "I guess I'll start watching again". The Rumble was the first PPV he's watched since WrestleMania. He was excited. He was in to the show. Then the Rumble happened. DB came out and he was happy. Things were going well. Then DB got eliminated. He immediately deflated. Kofi came out, and he perked up a little because he likes the "Kofi does crazy things to keep from getting eliminated" gimmick. Then Kofi got thrown on to the Rosebuds, put back in the ring, and was eliminated. Then he said "They are really ruining everything that makes the Rumble fun". He doesn't hate Roman Reigns. He actually likes him. He wasn't that upset that Reigns won, but obviously knew the crowd didn't like it. I'm not sure how excited he is to keep watching after this, but I wouldn't be surprised if we go back to me just giving him updates on who the champions are every few months. EVA
This had me howling. It's like the end of PROMETHEUS when Charlize Theron tries to run away from the falling spaceship instead of just stepping to the side.
The Man Known as Dan
Favorite analogy for the booking today. The WWE screwed up the booking do bad, it turned a Philly crowd, the birthplace of America, into a crowd chanting for Pro Russia, Anti USA Rusev.
hammerva
So apparently Alex Riley was supposed to be in the Royal Rumble. Why we got Corey Graves in his goth homecoming suit on the pre-show. Only explanation why it didn't happen was that Vince actually realized who Alex Riley was
Craig H
A friend asked if there was video out there of the end and I said there was no point, just imagine someone setting a pile of money on fire and taking a shit on it to put it out. He responded that even sounds better than what actually happened because at least that would get air play on Tosh.0.
Brysynner
Did they piss away a ton of money? Half the people who "cancelled the WWE Network" won't, most of the remainder said they will re-up for Mania or watch on Hulu which means they're still watching and putting money in WWE's pocket and not showing any decline in viewership
Kevin Wilson
Yea but the numbers are already far below what they wanted anyway, so in the RR to WM stretch they can't afford to lose any subscribers, even if only 5% cancelled that's not the trend they want. Obviously some people cancelled as their cancellation page went down, I know I cancelled (I was on the fence anyway as were probably most the people that cancelled), so its certainly not a good thing for WWE. If they want a million to break even, and are currently at say 750K, they are just going to lose even more money then they already were on the Network. nate
People still don't know its "WHOOMP" in 2015 I refuse to do that. Maybe Truth, knowing the outcome, was foreshadowing. "Whoops ... there it is."

Cobra Commander
Wondering how many "why did they even have Daniel Bryan in the Rumble" people would have typed out "Why wasn't Daniel Bryan in the Rumble" if the WWE actually kept him out of the Rumble.

Hagan
They should have held Bryan until tonight. I just can't imagine anyone walks out of Rumble looking forward to WM. They may as well do Hunter and Reigns next month. Isn't the rumored main event Cena/Roman vs Show/Kane next month? Jesus, take the wheel.
Craig H
No, it's supposedly Roman vs Big Show in a last man standing match.

Sublime
Ugh that's just as bad. Haven't they realized that Big Show and Kane are pretty much done as main eventers? I love Show think he's one of the best big men ever but I'm tired of seeing him in a main event role and Kane has been interesting two times in the past ten years or so, tagging with Bryan and when he was supernatural monster World Heavyweight Champion Kane who was finally more powerful than the Undertaker, other than that he has been a snooze fest.
Cristobal
In any case, "WWE won't lose as many viewers as you might think" has got to be the most ridiculous argument I've ever heard. This is the build to Mania. They should be INCREASING viewers the whole way.
ben. But nobody knew he was cleared to go until just a few weeks ago, they could have easily kept it under wraps and let everyone think he is still injured until he shows up and starts a Road to Mania match with someone and nobody is the wiser. This is the build to Mania. They should be INCREASING viewers the whole way. I'm saying they will still increase because I don't feel the total number of people who actually are fed up and quit will be more than the people who are all-in on the Road to Wrestlemania. Hell the #CancelWWENetwork might have caused more eyes to watch RAW to see how WWE responds. (Of course it's rumored RAW is cancelled....and that the talent is stuck in their hotels...hotel bars in Hartford, CT are the place to be)
JohnnyJ
I don't foresee a significant amount of cancellations. As frustrated as I've been, the network is only running me ten bucks a month. I spent ten bucks yesterday on lunch at subway. Where this is going to hurt is the increase in subscriptions they expect leading up to Mania. We'll see what they do but Lesnar v Reigns does not sound like a main event that will be easy to promote. The influx of bad press/fans revolting just made it that much harder. What bugs me the most is I just want to see Bryan v Lesnar on the big stage. That's probably the only match they could sched that would get me giddy in anticipation.
