TNA Impact Wrestling - Taped January 8, 2015 / Airing January 16, 2015 from New York City, NY

*Show begins with MVP's new group (MVP, Joe, Low Ki, & Kenny King) accompanied by ladies to the ring. MVP announces the group is called The BDC: The BeatDown Clan. MVP says they are bonded by the blood they've spilled in the business going back to the Florida indys. MVP said Young isn't part of the clan but he has something to say so he introduces him. Eric Young comes to the ring to boos. Young says what the fans think doesn't matter to him. Young talks about how he hates Bobby Roode. Young says he gave Roode a title shot when he was champion but Roode never gave him one when he was deserving. Young says when he got hurt and was hospitalized for defending Roode, all he got was a text message so he took what Roode loves most - the world title and he will continue taking everything he loves. MVP calls for Lashley to come out but gets interrupted by Kurt Angle. Angle says Roode will kick Young's ass and calls the BDC a bunch of thugs. Angle goes face to face with Joe and punches him, starting off a fight which leads to a match..

*Samoa Joe def. Kurt Angle via submission after a low blow when the ref went down. After the match, The BDC attacked Angle until Bobby Roode made the save with a steel chair. Roode then sits in the middle of the ring with the mic. Roode says he's pissed off and that this crap in TNA has gone too far. Roode declares tonight isn't about pro wrestling and he will make Eric Young pay for his sins.

*The Hardyz def. The Wolves. After the match, the two teams shake hands. The Revolution watched the match from the balcony.

*Eric Young def. Bobby Roode after the Piledriver on a steel chair. Afterwards, MVP & Kenny King come out. MVP mocks Roode and says Roode will be going to the hospital while they have a championship celebration for Lashley later.

*Jeremy Borash announces Feast or Fired is returning next week.

*The Beautiful People (w/ The BroMans) def. Brooke & Taryn Terrell when Angelina rolled up Brooke with tights pulled after a distraction from Robbie. After the match, the lights go out and Awesome Kong appears again. Kong chokeslams DJ Z and took out the Beautiful People. Havok's music hits and she comes out to confront Kong. They go face to face but security breaks it up before anything happens.

*Low Ki def. Austin Aries to become the new X Division Champion after Kenny King interfered and knocked Aries off the top rope.

*MVP comes out and calls out Bobby Lashley. MVP says he got Lashley everything he has and the BDC owns the world title. Lashley says the title is his and he wants nothing to do with this which offends MVP. They end up hugging but Low Ki attacks Lashley and the BDC beat him down. Ki hits the double foot stomp and MVP lays out Lashley with the world title. MVP declares the title doesn't belong to Lashley but to the BDC as they exit with the title.

I don't even know what the say about this fucking company at this point. Them blowing through a version of the Evolution angle after one week is absolutely amazing, even for TNA. The company is going to be shit forever, no matter who books or writes the shows it will never ever get better. They will be TNA, a company that exists solely to keep Dixie out of the family business and make her a big teevee star, always and forever.

Honestly, did anyone ever for a millisecond believe otherwise?

(OK, that one guy probably did.)

So on the first episode Aries wins the title on the second he losses it?

Holy hell, this sucks.  The only positive is the Authority leaving and coming back feels like a year compared to this.    Between that and Feast or Fired this is not a good sign.  A shame since I was fine with this week's episode and kind of hopeful for TNA.

Show-opening video was too short and too frantic. MVP's promo was great. EY's was as bad as MVP's was good, and went on too long. And his haircut sucks. Joe and Kurt tried to recreate their opening deal from '06, but it was in the middle of a ramp in a dim building with no people. They had a JOINED IN PROGRESS match in 2015 and went through the motions. EC3 taking over from Big John was horrible, as was JB acting to what he's expected to be hearing by just making random movements and grimacing. Hardys-Wolves was a very good match, but hurt by the terrible lighting. Josh putting it over as "new lighting" doesn't make it any less low-rent.

Roode-EY was nothing, and hurt like everything else with the picture in picture graphics that always messed up the aspect ratio of at least one side of things. They also didn't consistently show live stuff on one side or the other, so you never knew where to look instantly for live action. X Title match was quite good, and I liked parts of the main event talking angle. MVP's "unless you want to shuck and jive and dance to gospel music" and "YOU CALLIN ME BY MY GOVERNMENT!" ruled, as did the kiss of death to set up the beating. LASHLEY WAS FUCKING AWFUL though. The show as a whole was far better than last week's. I liked the Wolves-Hardys match, loved the X Title match, and liked parts of the KOs and EY-Roode stuff. Finally having the BDC turn on Lashley was good, even if Lashley can't talk, and it's kind of amazing that we're finally going to be getting MVP as champion at some point since that was the whole plan and Lashley's amazing title reign was basically a pure accident caused by MVP getting hurt.

Pretty good show match-wise with a solid lineup. Hardyz/Wolves had some great spots in it, fun stuff. Another good Aries/Ki match if a bit short. Aries looked good almost taking out the BDC towards the end, nice finish too.

I guess that TNA has given up trying to act like this is a live show with the current broadcasting format of watching the show in some closest.    Also it really doesn't make a product look professional when you have action figures next to you

Actually I wouldn't mind at all if TNA went to that format. Being in the arena is pretty lame considering TNA's presentation and budget. An MMA Hour style studio setup in Nashville would look much better with Matthews and Taz ( ugh) shooting us back to the action happening in [insert city here].
