My 48th Platinum is Assassin's Creed: Revelations. I like it a lot better than I thought and I dug the bits with Altair and even the parts where it turns into Portal.

I'm working on Unit 13 next and hoping to Platinum that soon.

Just to let you know, Sony will be pulling LittleBigPlanet Marvel content after December 31st. The only content that is trophy related is the Marvel level pack from LBP Vita.

Also, GOG.com will stop selling Duke Nukem games on its site after December 31st.

I've never played a Dark Souls game, but I had some money for Christmas and wound up buying Dark Souls 2.  I like it quite a bit, but it's basically "Trial & Error, the game."  The Last Giant was the first boss I went after, and it took me a while but I beat 'em.  And upon creating a different character later on, I beat 'em on my first try.  Dragonrider took me less times than I had for the Last Giant and was fairly easy, I guess.  The Pursuer is kinda a dick though.  I have no idea how many times I tried taking him on last night, but it must have been over a dozen times, maybe more.  Finally beat him.  His health was down to where I guessed it would take 3 or 4 hits, so I just started wailing at him since I figured my health could survive it.  And I did.  It was kinda like I could see the end of the tunnel and I just made a mad dash for it.

I got, like, three bosses that I could go up against right now.  The one down the prison area of The Lost Bastille, the duo in No Man's Wharf and the Old Dragonrider (who, watching people against him on youtube, seems like he wouldn't pose too much difficulty but he beat the shit out of me when I tried 'em).  Haven't tried the first one, so I've no idea what to expect, but I am not looking forward to trekking through No Man's Wharf again.  The summon that's supposed to be there for Lucatiel isn't showing up and I've no idea why.  I was gonna bring her in to that battle once I found you could do that.

Huntsman's Copse has these guys with whips and another variation with a different weapon and those guys are beasts.  I accidentally triggered all three of the ones that were up an alley to chase me and got my ass rightly handed to me.  Probably will wait until I've got a bit better weapons on me to try slugging through that.  And that one witch in the caves, with all the skeleton warriors, kicked my ass a few times.

Overall I have a love & intense hate for this game, but the more I get the hang of it the better I feel.

Breach and Clear is making a late run at my top games of 2015 list. I picked it up on a whim during the last week of this PSN holiday sale, and it is a very fun tactical shooter. Is this what X-COM is like, a tactical shooter where you level up squadmates? If so, I am totally getting Enemy Unknown when it comes out on Vita.

It's only about two bucks or so, definitely worth snagging if you have a Vita. There are some technical issues, but for two bucks, they are manageable.

My wife's aunt got my daughter Guitar Hero Live for Christmas.  I haven't played in a long time.

I need to get good again since I need to unlock everything.  But I dig the 1st person prespective on the concert sets in regular mode, and playing over the live stream videos for the coins to buy on demand plays of stuff in lieu of straight DLC.  It works.

Got Rocket League today. It's going to be a long time until I'm any good at it, but holy shit is it ever *fun*. It's been a long time since I've had such pure glee playing a video game. This is absolutely my new go to "my girlfriend is playing something on the xbox and I want to game as well" game.

Still buzzing through Fallout 4 and I started AC:Syndicate as well. I'm currently spoiled when it comes to gaming, apparently.

I found a good deal on Rockband 4 after Thanksgiving, and I don't understand how these games went away for so long.  Music games are a guaranteed good time, and Rockband's library is outrageously large and varied.  They recently the import DLC for every Rockband 3 song and they'll be releasing the imports of 1 and 2 in the next couple of months.  I only got the guitar bundle, but I really want the drums despite the fact that I don't have any place to keep them.

Because I'm always oh-so-up to date on my gaming I'm just staring Borderlands 1.

I am still a fucking horrible FPS player but it's good. Love the art style. And come on Diablo-style gun porn.

I'll probably do better when I remember I have a special talent and a grenade button.

I feel like the Siren in the first Borderlands was broken once you upgraded her special talent enough. Just stealth up to a group of enemies and gain massive explosion damage when you unstealth as well as the element of surprise. The battle is half-won by that point.

So, on the unplayed games pile, I've got The Last of Us, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Sleeping Dogs and Just Cause 2. Which should I play first?

EDIT: and Dead Island.

So, now I've started playing playing Sleeping Dogs. I've never been good at following advice, so I played Just Cause 2 and The Last of Us first. But that worked out OK, because having played/ completed JC2 gives you a custom outfit in Sleeping Dogs that lets you steal cars from half a block away or something*. It's early days, but I keep driving on the wrong side of the road because I'm too used to GTA & Saint's Row... even though I usually drive in the oncoming traffic lane in those games. And as an Englishman, the left side is the correct side to drive on anyway. It keeps telling me that if I keep driving clean** I can beat my friend's clean driving time, and one of my friends' best time was 3 seconds!

Never mind. When I KO'ed a couple of guys with a fish in Uncharted 2, I thought that was going to be it for using fish as a weapon in hand to hand combat. But no, I already beat a guy to death with a fish in Sleeping Dogs.

* It seems there's also a special outfit for people who have played/ completed a Hitman game and... Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Should I put the Deus Ex disc in the tray before playing Sleeping Dogs, just to see if I get Wei Shen a suit of badass armour and an assault rifle?

** Drive over 60 kph without hitting anything. Not too easy on these narrow crowded streets. Probably very easy on the freeway after midnight, but I've not really tried that yet.

My buddy loaned me Shadows of Mordor two weeks before Christmas and telling me as soon as I open my XBone to play it.  Sure enough, it's awesome.

3 hours in and there's already orc captains that I am infuriated by and made it my mission to track them down before doing anything else story-wise.

I think it got slept on by some people, I know its not everyone's cup of tea but it was one of my favorite games in years. Loved the orc hierarchy system, the combat, just everything.
