Cormier had momentum going in his favor at that point and it stopped with that eye poke. After the break from the poke, Jones came out firing and it was smooth sailing for him from that point on. Doesn't quite explain how exhausted Cormier got going into that 4th round, but I think it was a significant moment. Jones' wrist control was super impressive as well because it prevented Cormier from hitting that uppercut that he was able to keep landing over and over again. Jones eye poking guys makes sense because his fingers are going straight forward in a poking motion. I never understood how Chuck get thumb so many guys in the eye.
