NikoBaltimore
Yeah, I'm glad too. With his frame of mind at the time it sounded like a dire situation. I don't know how long we talked with WWE before getting signed, but he did keep at it for a time before that. So maybe things got slightly better? But it's weird to think that for all we know by now we'd be talking his retirement.
Godfrey
Just got into AoW. I'm listening to some older episodes and the best tidbit I've heard so far is that Dean Ambrose and Big Cass used to be roommates and also Cass is a great singer. Any classic episodes that are Must Listen?
Rev Ray
I recommend: 37 - Luke Gallows 59 - Super Domino goes to Nigeria <- probably my favorite episode of them all 81 - MVP <- if you haven't heard it before, MVP tells his story about getting busted for the casino heist. 111 & 112 - William Regal 238 - Buddy Landel And of course the Punk quits eipisode. Dewar
I loved the New Jack episode. Rev Ray's recommended list is pretty good.
sydneybrown
Petey Williams is a must-listen for the Scott Steiner stories. The Neville one is pretty awesome. It was done back when he was PAC, and he has an incredibly honest moment where he admits what a self-conscious and scared person he is deep down, it's definitely one that will make you see him in a different light. All the Domino/Cliff Compton ones are great. Actually any of the Christmas shows are great because the first 10 minutes are just Colt, Punk, and Cliff dicking around. Craig H
Yeah, Cliffy going to Nigeria isn't just an amazing wrestling story, it's just an amazing story, period. Something like that could be turned into a movie because of how ridiculous it is.
Godfrey
Thanks, guys. So far these episodes have been great. The Neville one had some real pathos to it and it makes me more of a fan of his to hear what he's struggled through.
worldcupfever
I second all of the recommendations (especially Petey's Steiner stories) and have to add Drake Younger's episode for his amazing attitude and Excalibur's episode for just being awesome. Lacelle
Jamie Dundee was top drawer as well.
sydneybrown
I'll also throw in the Armando Estrada one if only for the moment where Colt and Estrada talk about eating shitty food and Colt brings up eating an entire Pizza Hut Double Decker by himself (basically just two pizzas on top of each other) and Punk who's been listening the whole time (and has to be 100 feet away) just erupts with laughter so hard the mic still picks it up. Also, whichever live show has El Generico on it, Colt tries so hard to call bullshit on the gimmick and Generico fights so hard to prove otherwise. NikoBaltimore
Man, reading these picks there's a lot of goodness to be had. As awesome as Cliff's Nigeria story is, can't sleep on the time he went to a party dressed as Domino. Not sure the episode number but it's hilarious. Oh, and Truth Martini is on today. Can't wait to listen to this, he has some great stories I'm sure.
Dewar
Damn, the Cliffy "You got a DOMINO IMPERSANATOR" payoff story was fantastic.
sydneybrown
Oh, and Truth Martini is on today. Can't wait to listen to this, he has some great stories I'm sure. His first appearance is another must-listen classic with one of the worst "dating a girl you met online" stories you'll ever hear.
Technico Support
I second all of the recommendations (especially Petey's Steiner stories) and have to add Drake Younger's episode for his amazing attitude and Excalibur's episode for just being awesome. The part where Drake is a little bit down because he busted his head open, then he calls his wife and she pumps him back up, is awesome. I'M IN PWG BABY FUCK YEEEAAAHHHH. As are Excalibur's stories of starting out in LA as a graphic artist designing covers for porn videos. Jamie Dundee was top drawer as well. Jamie Dundee just depresses me. His stories of being really young in Memphis and his dad talking him into letting the female fans hug and kiss him for money are really gross. You can tell Bill Dundee was a shitty father and person in general and that his son never really had a chance. Also, whichever live show has El Generico on it, Colt tries so hard to call bullshit on the gimmick and Generico fights so hard to prove otherwise. That was a really good one. You can almost hear the exact moment where Colt realizes this is a bad idea. Now I'm reminded of this: I EAT CHILDREN
NikoBaltimore
I can't recommend the Truth episode enough. Such a magnificent tale about his encounters with immigration. I was smiling and getting chills at the same time because he's just damn awesome. And he's one of the few guys where his voice is so amazing he could read a phone book and make it great. Everybody should check this out.

ChrisM
Probably not an original observation, but Truth Martinis' voice reminds me of the late Grand Wizard.
A Guy Named Tracy
I don't care what Truth says. 2 beers in an hour does not put you at an .08 unless those beers are 40 ounces.
NikoBaltimore
Plus, I'm not a fan of anybody blowing off two beers like it's nothing, even light ones like Bud Light. Not the best message to send to people. But yeah, I'd imagine he had some high gravity beers. If there were 7% alcohol and above that could do the damage. Technico Support
Normally I'm with you but you could drink Bud Light all day and still pilot the space shuttle.
A Guy Named Tracy
EDIT: Apparently I can't link directly, but the source I'm using is a BAC calculator on Notre Dame's website. Google it. At 7% alcohol, the beers would have to be 16 ounces each to get a 180 pound man to .08 after one hour.
NikoBaltimore
Normally I'm with you but you could drink Bud Light all day and still pilot the space shuttle. That's very true. I was referring to the overall message of "Eh, a couple Bud Lights, what's the big deal?" Not the ideal message to tell your fans. But for the sake of everything I'll move on from that. And Tracy is right, that amount of beer would do it.
