J.T. Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 The John Cena Face needs to become a meme. Please Turn Heel John... 1
Pete Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Grumpy Cat must be well behaved. My cat lets me pick her up and hold her because she adores me, but if anyone else does, she does not care for it in the least bit and will put a stop to it. If you sit somewhere in the house she'll eventually come to you and want to to mingle or sit in your lap, etc. But picking her up? No way. Meanwhile Grumpy Cat is just chilling with everyone. Her owner has often mentioned that she's generally very docile and well-behaved and that all the handling she experiences is kept to a minimum. All the photos the wrestlers took with her were likely all taken at the same time and I wouldn't be surprised if the backstage segments were pre-taped then as well. My cat typically won't go near anyone other than me, but I've known plenty of others that were almost as sociable as dogs. The car wash I go to has a cat that lives in the waiting room and will hop up and sit with anyone who is friendly. My last girlfriend was stunned when her cat actually allowed me to pick her up... somewhere there's a photo of me holding her (the cat, not the ex) with this look of pure hatred (the cat, not me). I have to give it up for Grumpy's owners- they've turned their pet into a cottage industry and are making ludicrous amounts of money off her. May we all be so lucky.
Uncle Coaster Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 On the contrary - The Authority had promised to decimate Team Cena all night, and had done just that. They said "decimate" about 15 times. ... If they were going to go the swervy "surprise" route (and they shouldn't have - waiting until 6 days before Survivor Series to sell it is bad business), they really should've come up with better surprises. Fair enough on the first point...I thought decimating Team Cena was intended for the other members besides Cena himself, which has been the story for the last few weeks but I admit to not watching much of the show yet. On the second point, I don't think they waited until 6 days to promote the match, though. The whole story was who would "step up" or "survive" to join Team Cena. It really didn't matter who it was in order to sell the show. Whether that build worked or not is up for debate for sure, but I don't think this was a case of them waiting until they were a week out from a major show when in fact they'd been building to it for several weeks. Now, the rest of Survivor Series? That's been poor, but I thought the build to the main was fine (although i agree it seems it was set up for Orton).
piranesi Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Bad Joke Cena(spoilered for size): Believe it or not, I think I can make it worse: 5
evilwaldo Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 I didn't mind the build but the 20 minute promo to do something that takes 5 bothers me. The promo tends to get over the people in the ring rather than the one person standing at the ramp.
