Watching the Winner Takes All show and man Stephan Bonnar is a terrible wanna be pro-wrestler.   Everything that Stephan did and said seemed scripted.

I still say this is going to be awesome when both of them do the "we were only doing this to build up the fight" line.

Tito has been no better than Bonnar building up the fight.

That seems to happen after every fight where there's a “personal feud.” The only time I remember seeing someone blow off someone, was that one time Ronda blew off Miesha and she got a ton of backlash for being “unprofessional.”

You don't remember Bisping vs Jorge Rivera, then. "Apologise. Apologive. Go home, loser."

Rivera retired and got a job doing punditry with ESPN. Every time he's asked to pick a winner in a Bisping fight, he picks Bisping's opponent.

Missed this because of UFC 180.

Saw a gif of the Ill Will/Chandler finish and it seemed like a bad stoppage. Chandler seemed to have signaled to the ref. for what seemed like an eye poke or something and Will jumped on him and got the stoppage. For those of you who watched this, who was winning until that point?

Manhoelf got put to sleep pretty badly by Schilling.

Nam Phan probably lost a couple of more braincells and organs too.

It was a great stoppage. There was no eye poke or anything. Chandler was totally out of it. I think he spiked himself. And it was close, I had Brooks winning.

Yea definitely a good stoppage.  There was no eye poke, he just got knocked loopy and was confused as hell, then got hit a few more times without any defense.

Chandler went like 0 for 8 in takedowns. He looked pretty ineffective like he did in the first fight. I don't think the injury and the lack of caring about the fight had anything to do with his performance in the first fight. Brooks is just a better all around fighter at this point.

Tito vs. Bonnar is up there as one of the worst fights of the year.

Tito-Bonnar was there not to be a great fight, but to be one that got new viewers. I loved the show as a whole and the revamped presentation for walkouts made the company look so much more major league. Sure, it's TNA-level stuff with the set, but they got real music in there, and they come off bigger than UFC with the more elaborate entrances. Bonnar is just completely done. Motherfucker aged a decade between the time the fight was announced and the time it happened. Tito coming to Bellator reminds me of Savage going to WCW - it's not 1:1, but with each, you've kind of seen all you need to see if him in one place, so he goes somewhere else and he seems so much fresher thanks to different competition. With that said, he's got very little left and he can't even dodge shots due to his neck being so fucked - throw him in a title fight for his next one and pop a rating. Dude's on as much of a roll as he'll ever be on and I can really see 2015 being a gigantic year for the company. It would not surprise me in the slightest to see them sign Cro Cop (since Simon Inoki was there and he's IGF Champion) and BROCK LESNAR.

Now that's a big one, right? Why wouldn't he go to UFC? SImple - he can't hang at the UFC level. He couldn't do it four years ago, and while he can beat Arlovski, I don't see him faring well against most guys. With Bellator, he's got one big money (relatively speaking) fight with Lashley they can do, as well as Brock-Rampage if Rampage goes up a class, and given how big he's been that's entirely possible. You can also do Brock-Kongo, and Brock-Cro Cop if they sign him too. Right there you get four big ratings, whereas with Brock you get MAYBE one. Brock isn't even a slam dunk since people are so numb to UFC shows right now. It's like trying to get excited for a random SmackDown rematch you've seen a billion times now. Viacom's willing to spend big money on Tito Ortiz in 2014 and 2015 - they'll be willing to do the same and up the ante for Brock.

It was a good stoppage.  In the scramble, Brooks hit him with a monster right and Chandler had no idea where he was and just started waving his hands.  There was no eye poke.  I had Brooks up all three rounds before the stoppage in round four.

Melvin Manhoef, never change!  They should have him open every card in 2015.

Tito-Bonnar was there not to be a great fight, but to be one that got new viewers.

I'm not sure that many people outside of hardcore fans really know who Stephan Bonnar really is.

Also a lot of the same hardcore fans were probably watching UFC since one of the favorite fighters among hardcore fans was fighting for the title in the main event.

Tito coming to Bellator reminds me of Savage going to WCW - it's not 1:1, but with each, you've kind of seen all you need to see if him in one place, so he goes somewhere else and he seems so much fresher thanks to different competition.

I don't see it. He's only fought once there and he fought someone he could've fought in the UFC and the only other time he was going to fight was against someone else he could've also fought in the UFC.

I can really see 2015 being a gigantic year for the company.

Putting an ex-fighter no one knows of behind a mask and building up fake feuds no one cares of isn't the right direction to go in if they're going to have “a gigantic year” next year.

It would not surprise me in the slightest to see them sign Cro Cop (since Simon Inoki was there and he's IGF Champion) and BROCK LESNAR.

Yeah, good luck with that.

Cro Cop is terrible at this point and has been for the last what? 10 years?

No way Brock would choose fighting for them over the UFC and there's no way he can make more money fighting for them.

Now that's a big one, right? Why wouldn't he go to UFC? SImple - he can't hang at the UFC level.

I'm sure he can't hang with Cain, JDS, Werdum, etc. at the top of the division, but there's big beast he can probably rag doll around if healthy like Bigfoot, Big Country, etc. or a third fight with Mir (unnecessary, I know) which the UFC could easily sell.

Yeah but Brock does not like getting punched in the face. His reactions when hit are some of the most severe I've seen. He wants no part of any of the guys near the top of the UFC division. I could buy the Bellator move based on him getting a relatively safe payday and being in a spot where he's the man.

Grizzly, I never said Cro Cop was good - just that I could see him being signed by Viacom. What Bellator did last night was hopefully bring a lot of new eyeballs to their company and then keep them there with the shows they announced - although they really should have had more fights announced for 132 since 133 had the whole card built up.

Brock was still under contract when he retired. He still owed them a fight also. I don't think he is now because of the whole WWE thing. But as someone pointed out on Twitter last night (John Nash maybe), Zuffa conceivably could take him to court on the whole thing. If this turns into a legal war, I doubt Brock would want to come back to MMA. He can just chill at home with his family in Canada and spend that WWE money.

With as long as Brock has been out for, I'd probably pick Ivanov, Minakov and Volkov against him.

I don't think Bellator has a shot at signing him though. Bellator's best bet is competing for prospects, but even then it's kinda difficult if they're trimming their roster. You can't eliminate some of the awful fighters that have populated these tournaments, but start replacing them with everyone you want to start building up. Not only would the roster be the same size, but then you owe the job guys more fights as well. Thus, you somehow end up with a bigger roster as a promotion that only plans to run once a month and still uses regional fighters to sell tickets. You don't need Nam Phan around for multiple fights just because you wanted Mike Richman to torch him for one night.

Tito made $300K and Bonnar made $100K (more than he made for any of his UFC despite it probably being worse than most of them).

Brooks only made $62K which is $31K for showing up and $31K win bonus, Chandler only made only made $25K.

Schilling made $25K also and Richman made $30K which is $20K for showing up and $10K win bonus and the rest made $10K or less.

You're probably right but I'd wager that wouldn't be his perception of the situation.
