LOVED LOVED LOVED the opening bit once Steph shut up. Orton's face turn was cemented marvelously. The Henry-Show turn was okay, but the match itself really hurt the tag champs and Show came off as a bit of a dick. Reigns interview out of nowhere was a mistake - there was literally no hype for it and it was even worse than the first since they learned nothing from it. Loved Paige's commentary on AJ-Fox. Cena, Steph, and HHH talked and talked and talked and talked and talked in something that wasn't set up in the slightest beforehand. We're getting Team Cena vs. Team Authority on the PPV. That started the "OH MY GOD WHY CAN'T THIS SHOW END" feeling. Usos-Mizes continued that. Okay match though.

 

Hogan thing was fine I guess. RYBACK'S RETURN WAS FANTASTIC. Holy shit was this perfect. They needed something to catch fire again and they had it here. Loved Dean's beating of Cesaro. Not sure what to make of Bray's promo. Kane-Dolph was pretty good for a Kane match. They had a lot of counters to stuff and that helped. It did drag a bit, but moreso due to Kane's style not really meshing well with a late in the show 3 hour Raw match. Seth-Cena was fantastic, and the goofy finish set up the PPV nicely. Really good show overall.

That Ryback pop was incredible! I luuuuuu' da big guy!

 

That was Randy Orton seemingly giving a shit for the first time in how long? Great work by him. How many times did Cole say "outta nowhere" tonight, by the way?

 

Main event had a fantastic finishing stretch before the schmozz. Rest of the show was forgettable. Watching Kane wrestling ~15-20 minutes is my idea of purgatory.

 

OH YEAH. Guys... Cena standing tall! lol

Wow man, I loved the Steph stuff. I really think she's is the best promo in the company right now. The way she toys with the crowd and shuts down their attempts to put themselves over is utterly masterful. I loved her interaction with Cena.

If Cena ever turns heel - not that he is or I'm expecting him too in the next decade - but if he did, Steph would be the best possible Bobby Heenan to his Andre.

WWE giveth, and WWE taketh away. Sure, we'll bring back Hall of Pain Mark Henry and Feed Me More Ryback and make Orton actually interesting, but in return, you have to sit through this Kane match.

For a second there at the end it was nice to see babyfaces acting like babyfaces...and then they kept coming...and now I'm worried we are going to have four weeks of blue vs. red t-shirts.

That is why I do not like the Authority in a nutshell.  I change the channel when they are on.

 

Cena vs. the Authority is weak for Survivor Series.

 

I loved Dean burying Cesaro.  The IWC must be flipping out.

 

Ryback coming back was cool.  He can be a great top face if they let him be himself.

 

Show/Henry was weak.

 

The main was cool.

 

Dolph-Kane was solid.

 

Coked up Orton was hilarious.  I thought he had a white face instead of red for a moment.

As long as Ryback gets to talk this time, and continues to act like a big dumb meathead, but this time we get to cheer him...I'm going to be happy for 10 minutes twice a week.

It SHOULD be Henry for the obvious reasons.

 

 

Why are they not doing Cena vs. Brock at Survivor Series?

 

 

Obvious reason is that Lesnar has limited dates on his contract and they do not want to use one up here.

 

Personally, I think it is horrible because it cheapens both the WWE title and the MITB suitcase.

I wonder when that match does happen, now that we know it ain't happening at Survivor Series. Brock don't do TLC matches, so the Royal Rumble?

For the first time in the history of wrestling, probably, arguably the 2 best promos in a company are women in Steph and Lana. Solid show tonight, Big Show was being a massive dick to Henry so of course he's the babyface. I really enjoyed all the people on Twitter reading subtext into Triple H's future promo but I can't help but feel they're setting themselves up for immense disappointment. The Dolph/Kane match felt like an eternity. Ryback's return was good to see but I think that maybe he and Axel would be better served as the new babyface tag team since I think it's just down to the Usos now. The big schmozz at the end would've been perfect had The Authority came out and introduced their big secret weapon for Survivor Series; Rusev and have him come down and beat the shit out of Cena his gaggle of good guys as all the heels take a powder. I really have no interest in Rusev vs Ryback because I see no point in Rusev's first loss coming at the hands of him and Ryback just came back and shouldn't be fed to someone yet.

 

The highlight of tonight, aside from Steph, was probably Orton though. He has been on fire the last few weeks. It's amazing how good he can be when he's invested, involved, and not sleepwalking through whatever he's doing.

 

I absolutely hate this Paige/AJ shit. I'd be substantially happier if the title feud involved 1 of them and someone else, anyone else. Paige vs Alicia would be really fun for the belt but instead we're getting stuck with an endless Paige/AJ feud.

There's nothing going on that interests me right now. That Steph/Cena/HHH promo was the biggest waste of time this year(until Kane/Ziggler got twice as long as Cesaro/Ziggler). I have zero confidence they won't botch Bray and Dean's feud. Yeah this was just no fun for me, and I don't see it getting better. Rollins should've won the belt the last time they actually got Brock to bother to show up. Did I miss Rusev or was he a no show?

 

At least there's still NXT.

Yay, Diva's costume battle royal on Smackdown!!!  Yay, wow, that will get them over.  Can Lawler yell puppies?

 

If you want to create interest in the Divas Championship create a MITB for the Divas or something close.  It would have more meaning than the mens MITB and WWE Championship.

Good god I didn't realize how much I missed face Ryback killing people till now.

Honest to god, they basically have a second chance with him if they stick with it. He's a smarter worker now, he actually has an entertaining character past undestroyable killbot, and he still has the natural charisma in spades.
