The Natural Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 England football team find new ways to shit the bed and embarrass.
odessasteps Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 Iceland are the Mountain. England are Septa Unella.
MoeCristyV.1.6 Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 Wow, NEVER expected that to actually happen... 1
texanspaniard Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 Wow!! What a performance by Iceland and what a disaster for England! These postmatch scenes are incredible! Can Iceland get past France? Would be hard to comfortably bet against Iceland in this tournament I think! Wow! 1

MoeCristyV.1.6 Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 That commentator from Iceland....So Awesome!!!
ReiseReise Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 I know and fully understand how everything is going to fall back on Hodgson's coaching and maybe England being horrible, but take nothing away from Iceland. They played simple and tactically sound. That Bjarnasson fellow is easily among the top players of the tournament. He is running up and down the pitch like a maniac, winning one-on-ones, holding possession and has great slick passing paired with amazing vision. Really happy for Snorri Sturlusons kin. 2

I guess there might be some truth there as the Norwegian league has a long winter break.
elizium Posted June 28, 2016 Posted June 28, 2016 Gimli, Manitoba is going wild! (For those of you that aren't me or Dewar, Gimli is a town in Manitoba that was originally settled by Icelanders and a lot of descendants still live there. They also have a really cool film festival every summer, where they set up screens on the beach) Hate when England loses, but if it had to be anyone, so fucking cool it was the Icelanders. 1

AxB Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 So how did the Wales team react to the final whistle during ENGvsICE? Like this: Stay classy, lads.
ReiseReise Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 Since there are no British Championships nowadays, Wales kind of take the British title due to being the last UK team left in the quarters. They were just celebrating their own triumph, like Leicester did when Chelsea drew Spurs.;)
DangerMark Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 Yeah, sure. Let's go with that. Nothing at all to do with the scientific fact that the tears of defeated Englishmen are the sweetest in all the world. On the plus side, no more homer ITV commentary, yay.

If you're Welsh and a Rugby fan, you've had a fair bit of time to celebrate being more successful than England over the decades. But if you're Welsh and a footy fan... this would be the first time ever, wouldn't it? Even though they just lost to England last week and are therefore clearly inferior.
Chaos Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 Wait, what? Do you really want to replace one under-performing, poor personnel manager coach with another, England? http://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2016/06/29/after-euro-2016-can-jurgen-klinsmann-heal-englands-pain-some-think-so
