RIPPA Posted August 13, 2013 Author Posted August 13, 2013 Without checking the "E's" website, what the hell kinda gig is this? Some sorta old school Cubbies baseball celebrity game or something?! And is that the infamous BILL MURRAY laughing in front of PUNK? Nice uni's but any idea what they say/who they respresent/team name? Close - it was Kerry Wood's charity whiffle ball game. The uniforms were replicas of the Cubs uniforms from I believe when the Cubs last won the World Series Apparently Mongo McMichael was there too
cool arrow Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 The Aptermags always referring to Onita as "Mr. Onita" was a constant source of amusement among my friends and myself in the early 90's. Likewise calling Sean Waltman "The Kid" for several years, even though he only used that name for one match.
cool arrow Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 I'll take that as a "Yes," then. I'm told this was from a training session rather than an actual match. Damn!
Rev Ray Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 When did Hansen become Ernest P. Worrell? He's got a fat wife and rotten kids to worry about. Did Stan jump over to NJPW recently?
Ace Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Well, he'd been gone from AJ since 2007. Replaced by Hase.
Big Fresh Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Stan Hansen is the greatest human of all the humans.
Michael Sweetser Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 I have this poster. I stole it from Rose trainee J_Sin Sullivan, and I am NEVER giving it back. By the way, if you're in Oregon, check out Burgerville, they're fantastic. If they're good enough for Buddy, they're damn sure good enough for you.

Tromatagon Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Man McDonalds totally missed the boat on a Ken Patera campaign like that. 3
Pete Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Not sure what's better: Eaton wearing a "Pac-Man Fever" shirt, or that he felt the need to PERSONALIZE it.
piranesi Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 You have to do that at summer camp, guys. Especially if a lot of kids are into Pac-Man. 2
Infinit Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 I had that PWI with the Onita/Goto vs Sheik/Sabu Fire Match spread. Savage/Warrior on the cover...one of my favourite PWI's, ever. I

On a somewhat related note, I'm curious what moment made that "make your own T-shirt" font fall out of style. Because you saw that shit EVERYWHERE. And then...you NEVER saw it. And you never see it now. Even the ironic don't touch it.

Cooper Black would always be up for some good clobbering.http://www.bluecotton.com/visual-history-cooper-black 2
