Arsenal scoring goals without them being by Olli Giroud is wrong. Unless that kid sang an Aaron Ramsey song I don't know about.

EDIT: Spoke too soon. Mr. Six Foot Two converts a penalty. POST THE DAMN SONG!!!!!

Koscielny is not having a good week.  gave away a penalty and red carded on saturday and kicked in the face tonight.

The one thing I will say about the Terry incident is that Agbonlahor was all over Terry and pulling him by his shoulders and could have been called a foul on him.  It was a hand ball, but I think the ref just said they even out and play on.

Villa should feel hard done by on Ivanovic, though.  You can easily make the argument that he shouldn't have still been in the game.

Yesterday's Raul testimonial match between Real Madrid and Al Sadd saw Raul play the 1st half in the white shirt again, score the opening goal (and what a FANTASTIC goal it was), had amazing pre-match stuff with the King of Spain Juan Carlos giving Raul a trophy, all of the trophies won while Raul was in Real Madrid on display and Iker Casillas putting the captain's arm band on Raul before the match. Also Ronaldo wore the number 11 shirt so Raul could wear the number 7 shirt in that first half and at half time Raul gave the number 7 shirt back to Ronaldo. Lots of emotional touching stuff for me personally, Raul is my favorite player of all time and as someone who really didn't want him to ever leave the club this was an amazing tribute and send off for him. All that being said Al Sadd were awful, Real easily put 5 past them w/ goals also coming from Isco, Benzema and a brace from Jese. Jese's first goal was pretty nifty in terms of the angle. I almost forgot, Raul did his matador routine after the match, fantastic stuff! Not a great game per se but great memories.

But of course the big news is that yesterday on the Real Madrid official website they began selling shirts w/ Bale's name on it, the rumor being they are waiting for today or this weekend to announce his transfer. In terms of his playing Bale is a great buy for any team but I have serious drawbacks about the rumored price. For Ronaldo, Messi.. that price is justified. I don't think there is another player like those two that such a price is justified. If it's true and he's in I hope he does justify the price though.

Its been a long time since I've seen rain fall on a match like it did in the first fifteen minutes of Fulham/Arsenal.  The first half has been entertaining because it meant that there was much more shooting instead of probing for quality shots.  There were also quite a few opportunities missed for Fulham to tie the game up, but this is a much better effort than at the start.

Yeah, the weather porn has been amazing for this. Says a lot for modern sports technology that even at an ancient barn like Craven Cottage, the field drainage works well enough that they can play at all, much less in as wildly entertaining a match as this has been.

Hull down to 10 men against Norwich after a headbutt after a challenge in the Hull box.  This has been a very sloppy game so far with a ton of giveaways, but hopefully this will open the game up for the remaining 55 minutes.  Currently the only goal has come from a penalty given for a marginal challenge in the Norwich box.

I do have to add that this new deal with NBC Sports much better than the deal they had with Fox Soccer.  Being able to pick from any game playing at the time is fantastic.

Edit:

Oh, shit. This is a lot less funny now that we know the kid isn't all there.

The kid is heartbroken. Did you watch his musical tribute to RVP? Who needs Messi, Who needs Batman, when we have Robin?

Speaking of the weather, Charlton-Doncaster was abandoned due to the conditions. Not before Donny went 0-3 up and had their players and staff out on the pitch with forks, brooms etc trying to clear the excess water but alas, their efforts were in vain.

Also, Millwall forgot their kit on the trip to Sheff Wed yesterday. As someone elsewhere said "The kitman had ONE JOB."

Nice to see us making heart-attack inducing work of a win over Crawley on Friday night, who can feel very hard done by as they outplayed us for like 80% of the game. Not joking about the heart attack bit either, some guy in the crowd went into cardiac arrest. Seems he's ok though thankfully.

Looking forward to Spurs-Swansea in a bit, should (hopefully) be a really good game.
