Jiji
Well, that answers my question. Hey Swayze, how long do you think the Whitecaps can hold onto Camilo? He's legitimately turning into a bit of a local star. This will likely be his last season before some top team from a middling European league comes knocking. I don't see how the team can keep him past the January transfer window. Could they sign him to a new designated player status contract to make it at least a bit more financially enticing? Swift
I watched a couple of Whitecaps games recently, and after much pimping from the pre-match stuff, he did very little to impress me in the actual games. And he's been rubbish in my FM team too (though to be fair, all of my Whitecaps players have been rubbish)
Jiji
He's a dead ball specialist and is pretty clinical in front of net. On the other hand, he's got tunnel vision, isn't as supremely talented on the ball as you'd think, and doesn't make the best of decisions. He was so frustrating for his first season and a half or so in Vancouver and it's not like he's a guy that could step into a premier league squad, but for the MLS he's good, sometimes great. AxB
You know how a few years ago, when an American was asking who he should support and laods of people said Fulham, because they had Mr America Clint Dempsey? Stoke have Geoff Cameron, Brek Shea and Maurice Edu. And they're getting the latino guy from New England Revolution in January. Young bloke. Zheroen
If you want a chance to root for a team that can win big, City or Liverpool are my recommendations...Swansea and Everton are two entertaining mid-table options, but the best you can hope there is a Cup run and maybe a European spot occasionally. Hmmm.

Also, I'll be shocked if Brek Shea is still with a Premiership side a year from now.
Zheroen
Aren't you an Arsenal fan squire? Guilty. Just thought that the quoted portion was kind of incongruous, given that the best expectations listed for Swansea and Everton are essentially the height of what Liverpool has managed over the past eight seasons. But hey, Arsenal pipping Spurs for fourth/the final CL spot is like winning a trophy unto itself! Just like how Diaby's inevitable return to the side for a whopping eight matches a season is akin to a new signing.

SECOND PLACE. *rocks back and forth naked in the dark corner* Manchester United 1 - Liverpool 4. *rock, rock* Hey, remember when Aly Cissokho was supposed to be the best young left back in football? Swift
So, I see Moyes has settled into Ferguson's seat perfectly... Moyes hinted he thought there was a conspiracy against United regarding this challenging run of games. "Well, the old manager told me those sort of things happened," he said of Sir Alex Ferguson. "It's the hardest start for 20 years that Manchester United have had. I hope it's not because Manchester United won the league quite comfortably last year [that] the fixtures have been made much more difficult. I find it hard to believe that's the way the balls came out of the bag, that's for sure."

Guest The Magnificent 7
Remember when winning the Scottish league meant something?Me neither. I do. It means we'll be in the Champions League this year (pending beating Kazakhs). So it clearly meant something. I'll have to claim victory here this round, FSW. You are slipping in your dotage. I really like Larsson but that was scummy. I was disappointed. More to do with getting involved with some bad people like McLeod and being lazy and not involved / active where you should, but still the buck stops there if your name is attached to an event. He's done enough charity work over the years before and after this to have me forgive him for this indiscretion / fuck up.
Fat Spanish Waiter
You'd win if you can remember when it mattered. Because I remember when I was a kid Rangers won it something like ten times in a row, and now Celtic will win it another five times in a row before the league goes under.
