Ramsey Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 I see Austin and Rock as great attractions....show openers, special referees, etc. I do NOT care to see them in the ring though. However, the thought of Brock throwing Rock into the mezzanine and laughing about it has potential.
Phantom Lord Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 You know why else a lot of us want to see Brock/Austin? Because the WWE hasn't done shit to build up anyone worthy of facing Brock. If Cena doesn't win tonight, then who is there to stop Brock? Answer: NO ONE. If they didn't dick around Cesaro after Wrestlemania with their stupid "well, we'll make you look like crap for a while just because we have to know you won't abandon us" loyalty tests and take Ambrose off television when he was getting red hot to film a movie there would at least be two viable challengers for Brock in the next couple of months before the Royal Rumble rolled around and it was a coin flip between Roman Reigns or Cena for them.
jaedmc Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 ...what other matches are on this show? If Rollins/Reigns is out what else is there to look forward to? I don't watch much WWE these days. Rusev/Henry? that sounds kind of sexy.

I could see Austin coming back if he has a big movie to promote. Batista and the Rock did that the past few Wrestlemania's.
cool arrow Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 The only "big" movie Austin's ever done was the first Expendables.
Buy Me a Burrito Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 IF Austin comes back, it won't be until the Wrestlemania that is in Texas. That's in 2016.
Niners Fan in CT Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 It's sad that we are even discussing Austin and Rock at this point. It's been eleven years since either of them were full time. By now we should have a "New Generation" of stars and I guess we did with Cena, Orton and Batista but they are all well past the point of boring. 1
muhammedboehm Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 As someone who was anti-Austin during the Attitude Era, yes, I want Brock Lesnar to destroy Steve Austin. And before Lesnar throws the first German Suplex I want him to whisper in Austin's ear "This is for Stacy Keibler, mother fucker." ???
Skelemania Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 ...what other matches are on this show? If Rollins/Reigns is out what else is there to look forward to? odessasteps Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 Fwiw, austin has said on his pod that he prefers doing reality tv than making movies.
Bustronaut Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 Hideo Itami should be the guy to win the belt. Instant star-making moment.
Spontaneous Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 So Austin can win the Rumble and promote Redneck Makeover 3? Brilliant! Just wish they had some excuse to take a chance as opposed to having to stick with safe bets like Cena and Orton. I wish I could sit back and enjoy watching Ambrose rise up to be the one to defeat Brock because he's crazy enough or Bryan return and win the Rumble. Instead we are discussing nostalgic acts that might not die if they wrestle Brock. I'll watch tonight. I mean, I get it with the Network, why not? I like wrestling, this is a wrestling show. But I really don't feel much excitement for this. I want to see Rusev-Henry and possibly Ambrose's return. I want to see Brock. But largely I don't care what happens tonight. It's the WWE offseason, from post SummerSlam to the Road to Rumble, they don't care. 1
Isaacduke Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 The article I wrote for the Nashville Scene: Edit: Nevermind, it won't let me link.
BEN! Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 Is Adam Rose booked already? He can wrestle Rollins.
JustJay Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 The article I wrote for the Nashville Scene: Edit: Nevermind, it won't let me link. ebbie Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 I think the show looks to be good. Regina got the death/diva match spot last month. I wonder who gets it this month. Prolly Sheamus and Cesaro.
Curt McGirt Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 Hideo Itami vs. Brock Lesnar might even kick the shit out of KENTA vs. Yoshihiro Takayama. It'll never happen, but one can dream...
Burgundy LaRue Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 As someone who was anti-Austin during the Attitude Era, yes, I want Brock Lesnar to destroy Steve Austin. And before Lesnar throws the first German Suplex I want him to whisper in Austin's ear "This is for Stacy Keibler, mother fucker." ??? Didn't Austin Stone Cold Stunner Stacy for refusing to drink a beer?
Joe Fixit Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 I hope Sheamus and Cesaro finally have that MOTYC they've been threatening to have all year long. Usos/Rhodes could be really good too.
Brian Fowler Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 As someone who was anti-Austin during the Attitude Era, yes, I want Brock Lesnar to destroy Steve Austin. And before Lesnar throws the first German Suplex I want him to whisper in Austin's ear "This is for Stacy Keibler, mother fucker."??? Didn't Austin Stone Cold Stunner Stacy for refusing to drink a beer? Yes. It was his most disturbing on screen moment in my mind. 1
Spontaneous Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 Any time we have man on woman violence I feel ashamed. Be it Orton RKOing Stacy, Lita getting beat down by the Two Man Power Trip, The Rock slamming Stephanie at Wrestlemania 2000, and so on and so forth. Hate it. No need for it,
Phil Schneider Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 We are going to live blog this over at Segunda Caida Check it out
SwingChainz Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 You guys think Cena can do a backflip and land on his feet to reverse a German suplex? 1
EN090 Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 I think Lesnar wins and we're getting Austin vs. Lesnar for the title at Wrestlemania.. I think putting Austin in the ring with Lesnar is about as risky as everyone is saying using Angle is.
Brian Fowler Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Well, that was interesting... Holy shit the match was great though. Cena's an idiot. Should have let Rollins win the belt, then challenged him...
